    Biggest FTA story of 2012

I also voted for the MicroHD, even though I don't own one YET. Every time I thought I had the money together, something popped up that needed that money, but my New Years Resolution IS to own a MicroHD THIS YEAR. I was one of the very lucky one's in my choices of receivers, from the CNX DUO...

    Mounting 2nd lnb for 103.0W ?

you might try moving your LNB in and out while someone at a window, or on a radio or cell phone tells you if the Q reading goes up or down, move in VARY small increments, and wait a few seconds to realize any difference. Photto

Thank you Brian, that was EXACTLY what I was hoping someone would say or show, and this is perfect. Photto

    Mounting 2nd lnb for 103.0W ?

Well ... I was thinking more like this. YEARS ago, when I was setting up a receiver for two satellites, dishfinder or who ever was showing how to turn the dish using the scale on the back to properly aim at two sats at the same time. This was back in the day when we ... uh .... um .... well...

    Mounting 2nd lnb for 103.0W ?

Well said Radar. One thing I didn't see, maybe I didn't look at your answer correctly, but make sure that the sidecar addition your dish is on the correct plane of reception. In any case, where you mount the sidecar will also effect your reception, left of the main LNB will need to probably...

    Mounting 2nd lnb for 103.0W ?

I went on line to find this, sorry about it being so small, but in this example, the main LNB would be the one on the left, you can see the arm from the dish coming out the top towards the bottom of the dish, and I would suppose that for this example the LNB would be at the 0 position. IF that...

    Mounting 2nd lnb for 103.0W ?

@ a-hockeynut I didn't get Phottoette involved until I had found 103 and got it as good as I could, running back and forth from the dish to the TV in the living room. If you are out there all by yourself, I would suggest taking the TV and receiver out with you. For me (and this is ONLY for...

    Mounting 2nd lnb for 103.0W ?

Actually, mine is done, I had Phottoette inside and I would move it a small amount, she'd tell me if the signal dropped or gained strength, and I'd move it ... repeat, repeat, repeat ... great signals, fixed dish and I am done with it, but thank you. Photto

    Mounting 2nd lnb for 103.0W ?

Well, let's see, -15 plus 26, that'd look pretty out of place. If you would go to dishpointer and enter your address, or at least your town, then scroll down to the satellite you are looking for, then look under the list of satellites, you'll see nearly everything you need to point that dish...

    Mounting 2nd lnb for 103.0W ?

Yesterday I went out and re-aimed a .75M dish that had been pointing at 83W after I read about CozyTV. Chanel Master dish has been pointed there so long that I don't know why I hadn't thought of doing it sooner. Anyway, I went to dishpointer.com and saw they recommended a -15.4 degree counter...

Dishes we have seen -- post yours!

I didn't see this mentioned, but this is what I did a couple of years ago. Put your OWN ad on craigs list. Take a picture of any dish in town, doesn't matter what the size, and run an ad on CL asking people if they have a dish "like this one," and mention that you will remove and repair...

    TitanTV down?

Dee, I don't get on as much as I used too, but I had that SAME thought, clear out your cache and retry. Hope that'll get it back for you. Reason for not being here, I started raising chickens ... nuf' said. Photto

    Huntington Beach on 103 W

@johann12, small world, eh? My oldest son (now 45 years old) was born at Huntington Beach Inter-Community Hospital on Beach Blvd. And years later, after I remarried, I used to take my Step-Son from Montclair to HB Pier to fish. Photto

Multiple tv setup with a motorized dish

One more thing that may help you weening yourself from Dishnet, Netflix ! If you have a Blu-Ray player or other compatible Netflix player, you can connect that to your TV and enjoy a LOT of stuff that has shown in the past years on a lot of the "pay" channels, like Discovery, NatGeo etc. Of...

One ku band dish and 2 receivers.

Brian I am surprised you didn't plug your own product. Chewie, take a look at this link. It's is a GREAT dual LNB that Brian sells. LNBF - SL2 BULLET - GEOSATpro DUAL STANDARD KU There are certainly other models that you can find cheaper, but this is the direction I was trying to explain to...

One ku band dish and 2 receivers.

No, not at all, as I said I was thinking outside the box. I didn't see that there was a space limitation, but I still feel that a dual LNB would be a good answer. I have read many times that both receivers controlling the motor and the LNB is not a good idea. If I sounded in any way...

One ku band dish and 2 receivers.

Chewie1, I am sort of at a loss here on your question. By that I mean you have been a member for three years, you've posted 75 times or more, yet you are asking something that has been addressed many many MANY times before. My first response would be to put up a second dish, problem solved...
