I found if you disconnect the router, then disconnect every device connected to it-install only the Hopper, restart the router and it makes it much better for the router to find only one device instead of several. Then slowly begin adding each device to the router, might help.

I didn't . But then again I joined in 1997 and installed my own equipment from Echostar using a toy compass!! Then everything was about 65% cheaper!! Dish has given me a loyalty award of some kind just about every year. No big deal. I have stuck with them thru thick and thin and never looked back.

There is no Dish tech. since I have been with Dish so long they trusted me to do my own install. A signed certified return doesn't matter is a Dish janitor signed it. Dish agrees.

Recently returned my Hopper. Replacement box is used with a reversible shipping address back to Dish. I sent certified requesting signature. Problem solved.

Can't speak for a Hopper3, but my regular Hopper started going black, then screen freezing. Spoke with Tech they recommended, immediate replacement

That was the beginning of my Hopper failure. Once I talked with Tech, they said lets arrange to swap it out.............next up watch for screen freeze

I have a Joey 1 and a super joey. Both are lighting fast. Not bad considering the Joey 1 is showing MoCA in yellow (weak signal)!

They should also consider fixing broken tablet screens. Right now there are over 11200 trying to find someone to replace screens on the Nexus 10 by Google (made by Samsung) as Samsung will not stand behind it and Google is in a pickle. Nexus 10 best tablet ever built.

The Encore channels are from Starz. Most of the movies on them are old and usually adjustment of your screen to Zoom. I don't believe they can be in HD. However you could simply shoot a email to Starz or of course Dish. Hopefully someone with more info on this could contact you in this forum...

My Hopper which is about 4 yrs old just experienced the same thing last night. My picture freezes and goes black . I have to switch to another program and come back to it. This happens on all channels, and also watching a recording . Checked all signals --fine-checked for error codes-none-also...

Dirt advise they cannot over ride as my "file is tagged low beam"?

The final result is Dish says I am tagged as a low antenna (at 16ft) and if I want to find a retailer to mount the H3 that might be the way to go. Sounds to me like they left me hanging and taking my own risk. So much for being a customer since 1997! I will get a super joey and give it another...
