    Thanks for this analysis of Layer3. A friend has it in DC and likes it, but they were never Dish customers, so your direct comparison is much more useful to me. I thought Layer3 would be a good match with my Gigabit fiber internet, but not if their DVR is that much worse.

    Wow! Easy hookup to 722K and playback on my local network PC, then similarly easy operation to my Android phone! Nice job Dish! Question: what is the simplest and cheapest way to get content from the Sling Adapter onto my 2nd TV that is hooked to a 622?

    if by 'audio dropouts' you mean momentary skips in the sound - then NO it is not corrected, was happening on a regular basis for me last night.

    I have a 25' HDMI and it works fine, but i think 50' is pushing it. You may need an amplifying cable or such to get a better signal to the other end. 'couse if the box is bad, that's probably the first thing to resolve. good luck!
