I switched to Directv as well. Install on the 7th. Got the HD DVR Plus package for 34.96 a month.....the same price as the Dish all HD package, but with more HD and my locals in HD. I will miss my 622, but there are ways around that. Plus $4.95 for for second receiver.

I "moved" 3 times in one day...Dish doesn't care.....

Same thing happened to me. I called tech support and they fixed it.

You guys should try "moving" to a HD local market. I did it, it works fine. This way I record 3 locals at once. I feel that if Dish is not going to give my locals I will get them myself....They only thing different is the locals news. I changed my physical address to my friends house in Atlanta.

Plus I lost my HDMI as of the latest software update. As well as I have "moved" to Atlanta but 129 is just unwatchable. I should ask for a refund. For almost the same price I can get much more,,,Who knows how long "soon" will be.

Why wouldnt anyone switch? Besides Voom what could be holding anyone back?

I get my HD locals great with OTA, but it would be nice to record 2 locals at once. Why do I pay the same price as a sub. that is getting their HD locals via Dish? I think I shouldn't have to pay the same price as someone getting their locals in HD via Dish....Like others this is another reason...

I was just at a Costco 2 hours ago. There are selling the HR20 for $84.99, but if you are new customer they will give it to you for free. Not sure if it the 700 or 100.

Costco (same thing as Sam's Club) is offering a free HR20 for all new Directv customers. The HR21 is avaible but its not free.
