    Satellite distribution for MDUs?

I live in an apartment and have lived in a number of them in the past. The OTARD regulations finally gave us tenants some ammunition to fight back against the landlords and get our satellite TV, but I can understand their position as I drive around and see roughly 150 dishes in a 20 building...

Possible to have a mixed Sirius/XM sub?

For those who care, I just got off of a wasted lunch break calling about a dozen reps in both the S and XM call centers just to confirm that this is not in fact possible unfortunately.

    Tethering with AT&T

I've been tethering phones both with and without data plans since 2004 on both AT&T and T-Mobile. With a good phone there isn't a speed difference compared to an equal dedicated adapter, it does not take any notable amount of processor power to just shuffle data. For reference, your home...

Possible to have a mixed Sirius/XM sub?

I've had Sirius for a few years now and over that time have also added on a few extra receivers as gifts for family. My Sportster4 is dying and my car antenna has completely died, so I'm in the market for a new receiver. Problem is all of the currently-available Sirius units are garbage as far...

    Muzak Files for Bankruptcy

There's a major difference here, and that is licensing. Why Is 3GHz RG6 Important?

One level too high there. The spec calls for Cat5e, but you can usually get away with normal Cat5. Cat6 isn't required until you start talking 10Gig, which supports up to 180 feet on Cat6 and the full standard 330 feet on Cat6a. Cat7 was required to run 10Gig over the full 330 feet until...

Moving with Dish, a few questions...

Again, my understanding of dishmover is that it involves a contract extension which i'd rather avoid, so I don't want to use it. e: wtf is with the huge spacing on quotes? broken vbull?

Moving with Dish, a few questions...

I just moved from renting a room in a friend's house to an apartment. With that of course comes some fun with keeping my Dish service. First, I do not know whether I even have good angles to the birds. I know I can't see 61.5, so I'll be losing my HD locals, but the other three are unknowns...

Question about Voice over IP set in my house

The above backfeeding suggestion works great, but modems don't work very well over VoIP. It may or may not do what you need. I support VoIP systems for a living, but I'm running a 722 over Ethernet so I haven't even tried.
