built-in. i did a whole bunch of stuff with the online tech and he thinks something is wrong with the switching stuff or the lnbs. One receiver can get 129 and 77, the other cant get either.

So my appointment was scheduled for today, but of course no one showed up after I spent all day waiting. They say the work order was misplaced.

I just twittered Dish and told them to work on HD channels instead of wasting time with this stupid snowstorm naming crap. How much you wanna bet I don't get a response?

It is probably not a sign one way or the other. I am sure they probably have 10k people asking them the same question right now.

Nobody knows if they are coming yet. As for false advertising, they can change packages, channels, etc. at any time for any reason they feel like, so unfortunately, nothing can be done.

Thats where I am having the problem also. My 222 allows me to disable it, but my 222 has problems with lip sync with my hdpvr. My 211k works great except for this update thing. It actually works just fine as long as nothing tries to record at that time. I have sage setup to send a "select"...

The item is in the menu and it allows me to change the time at which the updates occur. However, my 222 has an additional item on that page which allows me to disable updates completely. The 211k does not.

I have a 222 and I just got a 211k receiver. I don't see anyway to disable updates on the 211k. Is this possible? (It screws with my htpc when it shuts down every night).

Apparently it is a known problem between the 211/222 series and the HDPVR that Hauppauge is working on. Are there any non-dvr hd receivers not in this series?

I currently have a 222 receiver. This box has problems with my HDPVR. If I buy another receiver on ebay, do I just call up Dish and they can activate it? What other non-dvr receivers have HD? I only really need one tuner and component outputs.
