The AZBOX premium+ is probably the best all around receiver on the market. As someone said the Openbox green tint issue is a thing of the past. I hated doing TV off of the PC, I stopped that a long time ago, and just went with set tops.

If you like sports, you would want to have 4:2:2. I am using the Openbox as my main receiver now and for turning my KU dish, with a AZBOX Elite as a slave for 4:2:2.

Are you going to be C-Band, KU or both? mainly PBS and sports on KU, more full-time HD channels on C-Band. I think many are now using a AZBOX as a receiver.

A robots.txt does a very good job of keeping pages off google etc... I use them to keep my pages off of them. I don't see what is so hard in having someone log in though, you don't have to pay for it -it is free. Seems like a easy compromise and a no brainer.

Have never counted, but there is a ton of S2 on C-Band. I find it more of C-Band thing then KU. I use a 10' dish for C-Band.

Just run a short cable from the loop out on your main unit to the sat terminal on the receiver you want to slave.

The S2 Plus board for it works well and is fairly cheap, with it you can get it all except for 4:2:2 (which the AZBOX gets). Nice upgrade till you add your AZBOX for the other TV.

Anything bigger is done early spring to late fall. Unless it is something important, then it does not matter when. Almost everyday is FTA day for me (viewing wise), always watching or checking something out. I take a look at the forums everyday.

I have 3 linked together by the loop out. Pansat 9200HD (with DVB-S2 card) as the main receiver. AZBOX to the Pansat for 4:2:2 finds, and my big old C-Band analog receiver looped out from the AZBOX. :D

I use mine as a 4:2:2 box as well. It is slaved to my Pansat 9200HD. Sometimes my Pansat is too week to pull in a signal, so I input it into the AZBOX and the signal plays fine (seems to be a stronger board in it). If it had blind scan it would be perfect. ICE, what is the work around for the...

Quick fix so you don't have to go and play with the dish, is to go into your Lat and Long settings, and change it from what it is"supposed to be", to just a bit off of what the correct settings should be. Play a bit with the numbers till you get your best reading. Not the correct way it should...

Thanks for the try. I know it has two "user satellites" that you can use for extras, but thats it. Oh well, it was only $25. :rolleyes:
