    OTHER 4K STB

Thanks! Does anyone know if: 1. The IR frequencies/remote interfere with that of the Amiko RE/HD265 2. If AliEditor can be used to manually add/delete channels and satellites

AMIKO Mini HD SE wireless issue

AMIKO Mini HD SE wireless issue

True. I was lucky this one worked and it was through a seller on eBay. If I had to do it over again, I'd spend the money to buy the brand made especially for the Amiko line of STBs (unless those are knock-offs, too!).

AMIKO Mini HD SE wireless issue

It works! The Big2Small app is quite nice. As I suspected, you can tune your satellite to one station on your TV and view another station on the same transponder on your device...take it to the kitchen or to the bathroom! LOL Very cool :)

AMIKO Mini HD SE wireless issue

Yikes. Well I just ordered one that claims to work well with Raspberry Pi, so hopefully it'll work with this one.

That would be the problem, then. Thanks!

AMIKO Mini HD SE wireless issue

So, I have a dongle that does IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g, IEEE 802.11n made by Azio. This USB dongle works great in all my laptops and computers, but typically installs a driver first. I cannot get it to work on the Amiko ("No wireless device exist!!"). Is the dongle compatible? Am I missing...

    Openbox s9/s10 mass channel delete

It's at my brothers house so I can't try it out tonight. Does it have a function to delete all of the transponders and then I can go back and deselect the ABC News One transponder, or will I have to delete each unwanted transponder at a time?

    Openbox s9/s10 mass channel delete

I'm so used to my microHD, that I have forgotten how to work the Openbox! I have an Openbox s10, but it is running s9 software. When I go in to edit the channel list, I have the option of deleting each channel at a time. However, I cannot figure out how to delete all the channels on the list...

GEOSATpro Microhd No More (in Stock)

Running with the bulls in this wild rumor .... If so, will the current Ali Editor work with the new chipset?

Setting up a motor - am I doing this right?

My Ku-dish is on a platform which is squared up with bricks and pavers underneath (and on top). Clay is about all we have here in north Georgia, so that's good info to know whenever I get a BUD in the future! To make matters worse, we live within 10 miles of a granite mining site. The small...

Micro HD. Locks up when I plug in external hard drive and says adio problem. I reformatted hard dri

Something I have to do with my hard drive is hook it up to my computer and click on properties. I ask the computer to "fix disk errors" and then defragment the drive (you can analyze it on the defrag menu before doing the deframentation to see if it needs it). Then I properly "eject" the disk...

Setting up a motor - am I doing this right?

I wonder what would happen if you took a portable TV with the STB out to the dish via a drop cord? If you're using a NanoHD, it would be very easy :) Sometimes the fault is in the cable run into the house.

    Still learning - suggestions please.

Just going on the photo alone here that you posted above ... your receiver is now listing channels from ALL Satellites ever scanned or programmed in, but you don't actually have that many on any one given satellite. So what you're seeing is a master list of all stations in its memory. The good...

    Transponder question

Rescan 89W. They're on again with the new parameters pwrsurge mentioned above. (Also low here, at around 42Q)

    Transponder question

Not sure why, but they sometimes go off the air. I haven't seen it in at least a week :(

    Transponder question

You're right. The BYU-TV feeds are not on 89W at the moment. Did you get "Ch-2" (KETV Ch. 7) on 12196 H 2784 on 89W?

Wish list: If you could design the PERFECT low-cost FTA receiver, what would it include?

The more I think about it, the more I'm considering a Linux desktop converted for media use. That way, all the codecs could be easily updated without fearing whatever distro I'm using will go extinct. I also understand Netflix is going to HTML5 instead of Silverlight, which should eventually...

    X2 premium

I have a entrepreneur friend who works in a completely different industry. Same thing happened to him after developing a great product from scratch, some folks in China completely stole his patent and mass produced and marketed it under their own brand.

GEOSATpro What do I need to get C-Band on the microHD?

Small caveat: it is possible to use a Conical scalar kit with a C-band lnbf (but you would either need to have a separate dish or swap out the Ku-band lnbf for the C-band lnbf whenever you wanted C-band). At that point, you would be able to view some limited (the strongest) and unreliable...

Is the MicroHD still being supported by the company that produced it?

Imagine being able to connect some "box" and stream those 4:2:2's back to your computer! LOL, well, someone had to say it :) Got to save up for my PC solution hehe

    GEOSATpro DVR blue screen?

I also forgot to mention that I first did a full format of the drive because I had previously used it as a external hard drive for my PC.

    GEOSATpro DVR blue screen?

My experiences with the hard drive, echo exactly what Brian and primestar have said. For resolving both the blue screen PVR and the "limit CAN not record" issues, do the following if you are using Windows 7: 1. Connect your hard drive to your PC. 2. Open "Computer" from the start menu (Bottom...

    OTHER X2 Square Premium Dish?

This old house doesn't have a basement. Just some bricks and stones over a huge mud hole from all the rain we got this year. It's literally a sloping hole in the earth about five to six feet deep. Apparently, this is the way potatoes and other root crops were stored in the 19th century. I...
