FCC to sell c band spectrum

the cable companies tried Ku and because of cloud blockage etc went back to C band. I was told in Modesto etc Ca that 5g phone repeaters were installed on light poles and did not have permission and had to remove them. 5G providers are looking for spectrum space even in unused OTA UHF tv...

    music Choice on G14 125w

Titanium there is a problem in that few fta receiver manufactures support ACM. To make hack receivers get scrambled channels need a key. I think in this area most consumers have direct and dish. For most the bud and fta is dead. Need to go Wednesday night is PBS for us love their satellite feeds.

    music Choice on G14 125w

I have purchased several FTA receivers because of their low price and found that they do not perform as advertised. In fact the ones that are advertised as hack receivers will not work for that function. I do not advocate decoding scrambled services without payment. We spend a lot of hours on...

    music Choice on G14 125w

Titanium I was unable to pm you so I want to say there are only a few receivers that get ACM and VCM transmissions and in helping others give this information freely. The GEOSAT PRO is one but the cost is over $100 and I have 2 the reason is power connector is bad by design. Have had to send...

I am not promoting any products only telling what works unfortunately there is some junk coming out of China in fact it is like the wild west. I have found another product that maps and receives Music Choice Ibravebox F10 plus. The down side is it has a AV jack but no cable is supplied or can be...

Can be used as a low cost music receiver and works good with my 8 ft "C" band dish. I am able to receive other...

    lnb skew???

You can see my dish in avatar. I had a problem that music choice slowly faded away over several months. The other polarity worked ok and signals below 3.9 ghz worked ok. The feed horn cover had a crack but did not think that was a problem. Replaced the LNB and coax but still had the same problem...

    Hidden Channels

What I can see having BUDS on C band is with the few dishes still in service broadcasters are less worried about us watching their programs. You need to study LYNGSAT.COM and the satellites coverage. http://www.lyngsat.com/freetv/North-America.html has free channels listed. A lot of consumers...

    Hidden Channels

I think the problem is tree blocking bottom of my 8.5 ft dish. Vertical receive NASA 3760 good signal . Think this is effecting horz polarity. I go to my mountain property once a month and have a 6 ft solid dish there will try to map a receiver from that location. It is unblocked there. Glad...

Galaxy 14 at 125.0°W Music choice

I did a search and the pc cards are $250 and a receiver is $650 too rich for me. will listen to DMX music. Interesting about saving money by changing technologies. Know a PBS Washington dc tech and they changed to H264 Mpeg4 for that reason too. Titanium you help has really appreciated as it...

Frustration, NO ABC Feeds on G16 C-band

The feeds come on when they have scheduled programming and you need to scan satellite during that time that is how we get DWTS on monday and tuesday. The feeds I have seen are DVB and you need a FTA HD receiver to work. I use a openbox Z5. Scanning satellites will give the always active channels.

    A note on Map Master

I have changed batteries in DSR920 and Dsr4200 but not DSR922. The trick is to bridge old battery with new and then remove old. If the battery is dead then the receiver can only be restored to partial condition and map master is used to get maps back and will work on music channels and as a dish...

    A note on Map Master

Yes that is correct the MM will restore with a good battery. To all those that created MM THANKS. Why buy a dish mover box when the 920 and 922 will do more. I love the music services and other free video channels and add a DVB Hd receiver through a dc block and have a complete package. I have...

    A note on Map Master

I wanted to make a comment about the DSR receivers when the battery dies receiver looses information in a secure chip IC and can not be replaced because these are read only. The receiver can not subscribe to services because the ID is gone. They just make a good dish mover or door stop. The...

for basic or all purpose use, which meter sathero sh-200 or sathero sh-500g

I have a ST100 and works ok for SD and HD signals but requires external power. Price is really low. I have spent so much money on meters that become obsolete decided on the 100.

4dtv Dsr-922 Lossing Picture But Signal Is Still Strong

Could be power supply problem. See if any capacitors have ballooned or leaking. I have fixed a lot problems changing power supply capacitors. Had a Open box receiver 2 weeks ago blew a cap and sounded like a fire cracker. Was on the 20v lnbf circuit.
