Isn't voom the handful of channels not showing on DirecTV?

I find it interesting that close to half of the people that say that they would live without the VOOM channels are in fact DISH customers.

But does it represent the feelings of their customers? That is the great unknown. The short timeframe (6 months) should be of some concern I imagine. I wouldn't just blow it off as insignificant.

Should be a bit concerning that 41% only give them until March of 2008, considering that they probably won't even have a new satellite launching before then - and they just may be hard pressed to respond until that happens. If that is anywhere near a realistic feeling of the psychie of DISH...

Well - I read thru the thread - and I won't be back. One of the most useless discussions in this entire place. Why do people argue about what is only a personal preference? There isn't any right or wrong here. For gosh sakes there must be 10 shopping channels - now THOSE ARE A WASTE OF SPACE.

I would also call DirecTV and tell them the situation. Since you are a recent customer, and probably have the equipment you need (they will have little or no re-acquisition costs to get you back) - they might cut you a good deal - especially if you take a sports subscription like MLB. For most...
