Another trick I've learned if the unit isn't working on off the air channels due to expired time issues even on a closed account,If you connect a telephone line to the unit for 24 hours it will automatically fix the basic OTA functions. This works on Dish and the older DirecTV HD equipment.

Within a couple of weeks the new high powered satellite (E15) will be active at 61.5,This should help things quite a bit on the eastern arc as the current bird has actually and permanently lost transponders also it has noticeably less power than a year ago on some of the conus transponders.

Ghpr13 Your numbers are low,you need an alignment or a tree is getting in the way etc.. a new bird is on the way for 61.5 but you need a little help on your end. Transponder 14 should be 70-75

Most think the dish need to be above the railing to get the signals when in fact you can pull the dish back and make the top part of the LNB even with the porch railing and still get perfect signals,This normally makes the dish look much better especially if your up a few floors from ground level.

That $14 - $17 fee is over the top :rant: I dodged that bullet by only getting one 211k unit on the living room HD TV and sending the channel 3-4 output to three other TVs throughout the home also added the EHD to make it a DVR. :)
