I just got guide information for my local off the air stations. Does anyone know the story behind this. Did Dish change their policy? I thought guide data was only available if you subscribed to local's from Dish. I like it. It's going to be a lot easier to record now.

I called again for the third time and this CSR was able to make the change. I don't blame the CSR's for not getting it right the first and second time. I'm sure they are misinformed from higher up managers or not trained right. The only SD I did watch was CNBC and fox news.

I'm also upset that I don't have guide info for local channels. I switched from Direct TV and I had Locals and guide info. Now with Dish no guide info and no locals offered. It's hard to use the PVR for locals because of no guide. When I had Voom I had guide info. Dish can do better.

Now that one makes a lot of sense to me. I'll buy that. Maybe when fall comes and the leaves fall off, my 622 will pickup all my off air stations or I can raise my antenna or use my Voom receiver for off air.

I've had my 622 for a couple weeks now. I find the off the air HD tuner not quite as good as my Zenith HD-Sat520 or my old Voom receiver. Both receivers will lock on one distant station, where as the 622 just breaks up. I'm still glad I switched from Direct TV, but the grass is not all green here.

What aspect settings does the 622 have when watching SD channels on a widescreen TV. Does it just something better than just wide? I'm going back to Dish from Direct with a 622. My old 811 didn't have a good stretch setting.

When viewing SD on a wide screen TV what stretch modes does the 811 receiver let you pick from. Did Dish add something better than just wide?
