Well I fixed one of them while surfing the menus last night. In the DolbyDigital setup you can pic line out or rf out I switched mine from line to rf and now the sound is equal in OTA and SAT.

    622 Bugs

Just wondering if anyone is expieriencing any of the following. Seems like I am getting a random popping noise when watching OTA HD, yet the Locals SDs provided by E* do not have this popping sound. A big difference between the volume of the OTA channels in regards to the E* channels. I...

    FIRST LOOK: 622 Review!

Well I have had some time with the 622 now and it has worked very well esp. the OTA tuner. Although my 811 picked up everything just fine, the signal strength on the 622 is about 10-15% better. The thing I do not like at all is the actual physical design. It looks very very bland and the...

    E* CSR won't activate VIP622

I tried with the HD techs and they said no, but then I did a regular CSR out in India or maybe Pakistan and she cancelled my installation and activated the receiver.

    It's About Time :)

Ahhh read my post in first look 622. I went to advanced Tech and they said no but a csr in a foreign land did activate the 622 and cancel the work order. I guess its all luck of the draw.

    FIRST LOOK: 622 Review!

I was shocked to see a box today on my patio as E* always told me that the installer would come out with the 622. Well seeing as I already had it why not install it myself!!! Its a PITA to get behind my HE Center so I did it on my own, hooked everything up, ran check switch, add OTA Locals and...

    Wippee and Question

Ok I just walked upstairs and there was the 622 waiting. I was thinking I would have to wait for the installer since I only have one line coming into the room and would need the DPP splitter. But as I opened the box it was inside. So now my question. I have a single cable coming in with...

DVI or COMPONENT cables, Is there really THAT big of a difference?

Well I will chime in and disagree with the Monster Cables being overrated. I have everything Monster on my system and I used the wife test...I hooked up my 811 w/ the included DVI and a Monster DVI and I saw a difference and so did the wife, the trick was I just asked "which looks better?" no...

    Post Your Upgrade Experience Here

got my 622 but only 2/21...Well she actually just told me they would ship out the unit ahead of time and then an installer will come by on 2/21 to install it. DOn't think it will be laying around that long. BTW I pressed prompts saying that I was moving and had a CSR in less than 2 minutes...

Scott's Crystal Ball Prdictions (A PLEA TO DISH NETWORK)

I agree with everything that has been said, the problem is that we are a pimple on E* ass. We saw what happened with the Voom channels and now this. The problem is we make up anywhere from 1-3% of the HD subs that E*. So they have that small of a percentage complaining, yet most here are...

Can we still activate receivers with blue cards?

Well I added a mothballed 2700 I had in the garage in one of the kids rooms, they said it would not work until I installed the new yellow card which showed up at my door 3 days later.

FTC response to Dish HDlite complaint

Funny thing is if you notice it they are starting to call it DishHD. So thats not calling it true HD just DISH's version of HD.

How many have worked a 622 deal already?

This fee makes absolutlely no sense to me. If the E* plan is to move towards MPEG4 technology I would guess the 211/411 will be the base receivers. I can not see the majority of people that will become new customers and have no HDTV being williing to pay this fee. If you have no HDTV why...

Why should we pay anything for the 942, 622, 211?????

Well you better make sure to read all the fine print, it almost seems hard to beleive you did not sign some type of commitment. If you did you have 3 days to cancel otherwise you pay an early termination penalty.

    Awesome VIP211

How many have worked a 622 deal already?

Well that $250 lease deal was made available to certain subs through the CEOs office, you have no shot with regular CSRs. Sorry to hear about your woes but after mid December most people were in a holding pattern to see what was going to be happeneing with MPEG4.

In NY? Run away from new leased ViP receivers!

I agree make it ala carte or nothing at all. Thats all I need a NY channel to bump up the rates even more.

How many have worked a 622 deal already?

I'm starting to think they may offer something for people who CURRENTLY have multiple HD receivers.

How many have worked a 622 deal already?

apologize for the delay on this response. He are the answers to your questions. Hope this helps. 1. The $200 rebate is only for the 921 or 942 receivers. I have not heard of any plans to have a rebate for the 811. 2. Yes, you may keep your current equipment and have the 622...

New HD channels launch in 8 days - who will be ready ?

Don't think you will need to run to the phone...as I understand if you have an MPEG4 receiver and you subscribe to the HD Pak, you automatically get billed the $20 HD Pack, since you will see all the new HD channels off the bat. Only those with the MPEG2 HD Receivers will still be able to get...

HD Enabling fee - $6 starting Feb 1st - If you dont have qualifying HD programming

Ok so would it make you happier if E* didn't incorporate an OTA tuner, and "force" you to purchase an ATSC STB???

HD Enabling fee - $6 starting Feb 1st - If you dont have qualifying HD programming

I think you guys are blowing this WAY out of proportion here. I agree with Walt the reason for the fee is because it seems like the 211/411 will be the base receiver so eventually a ton of new customers will have this receiver but may not have an HDTV. I think the fee is SIMPLY to activate...
