As far as getting some channels like Sci, USA and bbc in HD if its a space issue they could elliminate some of the Vooms and use those spaces. Way back before it stopped I had voom as my provider and it at least seemed like they would add some new stuff to Monster and KungFu and I was pleased...

IIRC USA said they will be offering USA in HD beginning of sept but don't think I've seen any comments from Dish as to if or when they might carry it but hope they do.

Blah, give us some more entertainment channels not more sports. Yes I am aware sports "was" a big seller for HD but these days we need more. The sports nutz are not the sole supporters of HD anymore and would be nice if the industry recognized that.

As I recall isnt it Sept 1 or the 5th that USA is saying they will have launched an HD version, not just D or E stretching the SD. As for SciFi I really havent heard much about them going HD. Since even now they show alot of Movies letterboxed in SD the hope is it, SciFiHD may come sooner...

SciFi and USA are 2 I'd be glad to have as I watch then a fair amount in SD as is.

Actually when I went thru Tech support when I was having issues with my TV2 remote they just sent me a replacement for free and said not to worry about sending back the old one. Strangely once I got the new remote to work suddenly the old one began working as well, go figure.

In single mode you can actually record 3 things in HD at once if you count the OTA.

LOL Dish support can really make me shake my head sometimes. I had a UHF remote bite it and 2 different techs both said "Oh well if your running in single mode you don't NEED a 2nd remote" when they couldn't get mine to work

I just wish they would add a quicker way to turn CC on/off. I don't use it much but when I do want it its a bother having to go thru all the menus to do so.

Well it will be interesting to see what they show on the History Channel as far as HD but I'd trade all the new announced ones for say USAHD. Then again I'd also like it if SciFi goes HD & turns up some day.

Maybe so but I actually do watch CNN and MSNBC quite alot myself but still think using HD & band width is, for now, a waste on them compared to something like even USAHD.

To some extent CNNHD seems a waste. I have never seen anything on MSNBC of CNN that made me say "Gee, I wish it was in HD. Normally the speakers are in the center and then they clutter up the screen with scrollbars and such. Give em a bigger swcreen and we'll just see more clutter. As for...
