RAVE and Animanai had content you couldn't see anywhere else. RAVE had some very good concerts and the SoundStage series was great. They actually featured some artists who are talented and not the crap you get from MTV and those like them. Anaimania had some pretty cool French/Canadian stuff...

Same problem here— on the East coast. I live in Richmond, Va, where the locals were just turned on a few weeks back. LOST was absolutely unwatchable last week-- VERY annoying. All the stuff the OP mentioned, plus, at one point, the screen turned SOLID yellow for several seconds. Freaky...

That's awesome. My email wasn't nearly as detailed. Don't know if it'll do any good, but hammer at 'em! I can almost understand a station that NEVER had good HD, but their stuff used to be really nice! MAkes NO sense at all!

I have a plasma set w/ a 622 and I notice the same thing on a lot of HD stations. Doesn't seem to be a settings issue.

Don't know about the 211, but my 622s have always (with the occasional BRIEF "digital service" hiccup) had the program guide for the OTA channels. I probably record more OTA than anything else,so this has a pretty big impact.

I tend to agree, as we are scheduled to go live with HD locals in May (Richmond). I can't imagine it's coincidence, but it IS super annoying.
