Seems to be an issue that happens after upgrades on the hopper. Dish has been out at least 5 times. So what happens is the local ota channels go away and the joeys have guide info but no actual program video. You can change channels etc but no program video. The tv hooked to the hopper still...

im not sure about the 722 but on the 622 you will need to change the local channel priority from sd to hd.

I am next door in louisiana and have no problems with the 129 signal. sounds like the dish may not be pointed correctly, or there is something in the way.

I have a 57" hitachi 57s715. I have never had a problem with burn in and alot of the time I fall alseep on the sofa watching tv and the screensaver stays on overnight. My best guess is that you have the contrast turned up way too much if that screensaver burned a image into your set. the logo...

I would switch over to dish until directv actually goes thru with its plan. after they get their stuff in service you can then evaluate who is the better option for YOU. I have given up on being a dedicated sub... I am now a what have you done for me lately sub, and so far dish has done...

it does do 16:9 widescreen.

i moved twice. I still receive ota guide info in my area, plus I still receive the sd channels that I had previously moved to from a nearby larger city without hd on the 6000's, and I get the new hd channels from the area I moved to. I guess I get the best of all worlds.

ive never seen so many girly men in one thread. the best thing to do is let people pay for their own consequences and worry about their own actions. i dont have to try and justify why I moved. I made the decision and I stand by my decision.

if you cant get them with your antenna then the only other option is moving. I just moved to KC yesterday and I am impressed by the quality.

I found that the 622 had a much better receiver than the directv hd dvr.

equator is probably one of my favorites overall of all hd channels. I also like the monsters and world sports channels. hdnews is alright also.

it works with my 622. slingbox has some software that you run on your pc that finds the slingbox, be careful though because some of the ports will be blocked and wont work.. i.e... corporate networks and stuff. you tell it what kind of receiver you have.
