I kind of like that idea of mapping them down to the local channel range, as long as they don't interfere with my current local channels. For example, if I lived in Chicago and KTLA and WMAQ were both on channel 5, that wouldn't work out.

So I just checked, and it turns out she has a dish 500 with a dish pro twin lnb. Can I just replace that lnb with a dish pro plus twin, and do what I planned on doing before? Is there a cheaper method? This is just going to a single 211, by the way.

Dish doesn't have any real type of on demand, but I'm pretty sure that the big 4 premium networks (HBO, MAX, SHO, STARZ) all have some type of on demand with cable providers.

They said this summer...and I believe it is all of the big 4. Hopefully "soon"!

Some of their shows are still produced in their old SD studio; usually the ones in the late morning/afternoon. It'd be nice to have a HD ticker on the bottom, however.

Why is there no ticker with current conditions, forecasts, etc. like on the SD version? Is this an issue with the TWC HD or with dish? Thanks!
