I've got 3 508's with outdated smart cards. Have not had them active for +/- 5 years. I've looked at ebay and there is a fair number for sale. I see that the 508's are being replaced by Dish. Wondering if I might just be better off junking them. Any suggestions ? Thanks !

Yes, but do they tell the customer the shipping and handling charge is $16 ? That seems a very steep price for someone to send out a rebate check.

I am served by the Binghamton, New York area which is 70 miles north of Scranton. Neither Dish or Direct offer our locals and for good reason I suppose. If this disaster had occurred in this area it would of been Thursday or Friday before anyone would of even noticed(or cared). :rolleyes:
