my father in law just bought another HDTV ... is there an upgrade offer from a 301 to a box that is hd? money is tight for a retiree so the cheaper the better... he is past his 2 year commitment and would probably like to stay away from one if possible.

did you try rescanning for the local again, when they move it you have to rescan

anyone catch the fact we are losing the jewelry channel??? LOL i was browseing the guide and caught on channel 218 the program title said "important information" so i checked the descripton and it said " the jewelry channel will no longer be available after jan 16th" ok a few questions...

actually the uplink reports just showed them moving stuff around on e-5 , i believe digiblur had already updated the program to distingush between 5 and ceil-2 . my guess is they are shifting the feeds to the san transponder on e-5 in prep for the move to ciel-2... I'll believe it is on...

my guess would be the number of "Dishes" that they are authorized to link to the satellite...

did you catch the increased earth stations as well? (1) add the Canadian-licensed Ciel 2 satellite as a point of communication; and (2) increase the number of authorized earth stations from 1,000,000 to 5,000,000

just becuase they have uplinked them doesn't mean they have started making them availble to use, but yes they have started addedin channels to ciel2... I noticed they uplinked the dayton, oh locals in HD Yeah!!!!

if you stop you dvr event, and change the channel your watching to an OTA that your getting good signal on then watch your dvr event again it should stop. while your watching a DVR event the tuners are still "watching" a channel in the background and you keep losing signal on that... Have...
