damn,I think mine will only do 1080i. is there a big difference between 1080i and 1080p? I have never compared the 2.

make sure the settings on the 722 are set to 1080i.look in the menu.

I am very glad to see this.I can only hope that they get the issues worked out so thay can add speed hd sometime soon.but i am not going to start complaning about that. I really look for dish to add something direct does not have. that is if that is possible.thanks to dish for usa and sci-fi!

I do wish they would give a specific date on at least some of the new national hd channels.that would at least ease some people's minds.I know it would mine.

it will sure be fun waiting on these.and like a prevous post (Why ain't I got this channel?) dish is very secretive but they usually come thru.they know they are going to have to do something to calm all the screaming down.

how long have you had it? make sure the installer set it up correctly.make sure the reciever is set up for 1080i.sometime they forget to do that before they leave.look in the menu 6 system setup then 8 hdtv setup. my picture on my 722 is great using hdmi cable. you may have already done this...

it could be the diplexer is installed backwards.that happens sometimes.or it could be bad alltogether.that is if you are using diplexers.if not, it is for sure a bad cable or connector.

here is what i would do.when he gets there he will probably tell you what he is going to do as far as line runs and so on.now if it is easier for the switch outside that is probably what he will do.ask him if he would put it inside and run extra cable for a good tip. he might just go for making...
