Dish Chat offered $5 for three months. I then was sent to a higher level on Chat and was offered a free OTA module and a one time $20 bill credit. I took that as the module may actually help me get my CBS back if I can get a strong enough antenna.

My new hws is missing them but my new regular hopper has them. The Joey hooked to the hws is also missing the icons. I have a call in to get the hws replaced due to this issue.

so i got a free dongle as extra too? I can remove that later myself then? But the reg hopper and 2 joeys will just get internet from HWS anyways; so I just remove the dongle for safekeeping then?

I thought the wifi on the hopper w/sling was built in. But the Installer put a wifi dongle on the HWS. The box says Hopper with Sling though. The other Hopper says just hopper.

One last question. I am getting the wifi adapter on the old hopper (Installer says that is free). Do the joeys need the HIC in order for them to get wifi?

I added one old hopper for $99. Install is going now. Is there any way to get Component out (Red/Blue/Green) from the Joey HDMI? A certain cable or something?

I totally agree with you so I definitively want two hoppers. Now the decision is will i be happy with one new and one old hopper. I really don't like contracts and getting OLD equipment though

I do not have hardwired internet at any of the Hopper install locations. I planned on wifi. My house (about 6 yr old) is single pre-wired for TV in each room and D* internet does pass through coax just fine. Will internet pass through the E* equipment without any hardwired internet? Does...

I just called (also PM'd by DIRT) the old hopper was offered for $99 but for HWS it is $199. My only problem with getting 1 older Hopper in the setup is that it is basically outdated equipment with a slower processor, no wifi and no internal sling adapter. I am not even sure the old hopper...
