With Directv - probably won't notice any difference. However - with a blu-ray source - it is night and day. You cannot push TrueHD Audio over optical - it doesn't have the bandwidth.

I always have audio sync issues. Quite annoying! Some channels are worse then others. I have no sync issues while watching blu-rays. I also never had issues when I was with Comcrap. I am also using hdmi - never swapped out to test.

I have never once lost my signal since I got DTV back in September. I always get people coming up to me with the - I don't want DTV because when it rains - you lose tv. Maybe true 10 years ago - but now more of a Comcast way of misleading people. My signals are in the mid to high 90's all...

I don't bother watching anything on TNT. Total waste of bandwidth! Even stretch-o-vision on some of the other HD channels schools the quality on TNT.

It all depends. Are the other 2 channels available in HD - but just not to DTV? If that is the case (as it is with me) - you are pretty much sh*t out of luck. Some areas only have contracts to supply the SD feed to DTV - not the HD. Supply more information like zip code so others can see...

ESPN on DTV is so bad I don't even bother turning it on anymore. The funny thing - when I had Comcast - that was my best channel.

That happened to me last week on Fox. I would get the banner - but all black with no sound. I reset the receiver and all was fixed. Hasn't happened since.
