I just counted the number of full-time shopping channels in the guide and I find 9 channels that carry shopping full-time ( 3 of them are jewelry channels ) . Thats not counting the channels that carry shopping at least 20 hours a day like i-network. But did D* management drop those channels...

Check the HD programming package at D* website.... http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/packProg/channelChart2.jsp?assetId=1100084 It lists TNT-HD channel 75 as the very 1st channel as thought they are proud of it. And, there is no asterisk or note to indicate that it is available only 6 days a week...

I agree with rkr, go with E* since anything D* tells you is not to be taken literally. They do what they want and the only thing that matters is keeping the NFL-ST money flowing in.

That is so totally NOT the point. HD subscribers are paying for TNT-HD, the D* programming link on their website lists it, it is part of the agreed upon programming when a customer subscribes to HD programming, it is one of the channels that a customer evaluates when deciding whether to go with...

This means that subscribers who pay for HD programming are NOT getting what they are paying for at least in part. Talk about false advertising. I was considering switching to E* anyway and this just tipped the scales for me.

I get all of the season preview shows and anything else to do with football with the games themselves sprinkled in. The best I could do was search for the quote "at" in 'football' and 'sports' That way I got the games where visitor is AT home and it eliminated all of the previews and wrapups...

The guide on my H20 also showed an HD game starting on 212 at 3pm but a few minutes later when I checked the HD logo had been removed from the guide. I think they are getting it from NFL in HD and then downrezzing to SD for 212 and someone in the D* control room forgot to remove the HD logo...

Yeah, we don't need HD anyway. It's over rated. Don't know why anyone even buys those expensive HD televisions anyway. Only a few channels are in HD. SD is good enough for anybody for the next couple of years, right?

It is NOT JUST FoodHD... E* also has National Geographic HD and that is the HD channel I want more than any other. That and the better SD PQ are why I am considering leaving D*

It is extremely odd to leave this feature out of their top of the line receiver if D* management really is committed to it. This is one more of those management issues that leave me wondering if anyone is at the wheel or the ship is drifting with the currents.

The fact is Even if you get HD-LIL from D*, you STILL have to have an antenna to get all of the HD locals anyway since D* doesn't carry all of them, only the big3 or 4. I would still have to have an antenna to get my favorite programming from my local PBS-HD station. So if you have to have...

The execs who decided that HD-LIL was more of a priority than national HD programming are the ones who should be demoted. By postponing new HD channels until 2007 they effectively ceded the new HD customers market to Dish. And for what? HD locals that most people can get OTA anyway...
