Is all I need to do is change out the receiver to an hd receiver and keep the same small round dish? I don't need hd out there but other posts above seem to say my dish is a problem too.

I still use it. I have an hd dish at the house but a separate dish at my pole barn. I just don't need hd in my barn. Just want to know if I really need to switch the receiver out or can I just continue to use it without issues.

Received the letter stating some equipment no longer supported. I'm assuming they mean my one sd receiver I have and not my 3 hd receivers. Happens on all TV's in my house so I know it's not an equipment issue. Just read others reporting this issue on another form so it has to be a Directv problem. This is in HD.

Yup, WDIV. It started a few days ago and even had a lip sync issue that seems to be gone but it still stutters every 5 or 10 seconds.

Anyone else having a stuttering issue with NBC local channel? It happens on all my TV's and is only this channel. This is the Detroit area.

Just an update. He had a bad piece of coax from the basement to the receiver. All is well now.

My father had a new dish installed today since he has now joined the HD world. I have not been over to check out the installation but he is unable to receive some channels. I asked him if it was a single coax or dual going into the receiver. He said there where two. He has an HR23. He gets 207...

I did not do a reset last night and this morning it's back to normal with all guide data and the correct date. Also this only happened on my HR-21.

Someone else on another forum brought up that this sounds like a handshake issue that caused this weird experience. I have never had any handshake issues before so I didn’t even think about this. Probably a one time glitch that I will never see or be able to produce again.

It must support it. It was fine the next time I went through all the resolutions, including 720p. Another thing is this is a 1080p set. Wouldn't it support 720p? Also looking at my specs on my set it says it does Progressive Scan. I'm still leaning towards a glitch in my DVR.
