Hello, I signed up for DirecTV in 2008. I cancelled them in early 2019. So I was with them for 11 years. After I cancelled I started getting demands from them to pay a $195 early termination fee. I called to ask about this and I just kept getting the run around from their overseas employees...

Hopefully they will improve drastically their DTVN streaming app. It is an absolute train wreck. All the other streaming providers apps are infinitely better.

Might have something to do with the fact that I pay Netflix about $13/month and direct about $200/month.

I am paying: $10 for HD $10 for DVR $3 for Whole home. I do not pay $7 for first receiver. Any suggestions to get this lowered/removed? I have the premier package and have been with them for 10 years.

How about eliminating the HD $10 monthly service fee?! How about the DVR $10 fee?

Question kind of related: If I understand correctly, they are stopping SD service. Right now they are charging me $10 a month for HD service so will that fee end? Also when it rains hard and signal goes out, I usually switch to SD. I’m guessing I won’t be able to do that anymore either!

Not true. I have ATT Fiber. If you have the NVG brand modem, you can do bridge mode. I use my own router with it. The other brand they offer, I believe Arris, has no way of doing this. They originally gave me the Arris, I called and asked for the NVG instead, they sent it to me no problem at...

I also have issues sometimes that my clients and HR25s are not reading recordings. It says I have no recordings. Red button reset on the RH54 solves it, but it happens quite often.

Well, I disconnected all the cables, reconnected, and they came back to life. All the cables were tight, not cracked. No clue what happened, but at least its working now.

I have an HR54. I have a C61k and a C41 I also have 3 H25s Suddenly today my 2 genie clients won't connect to the server. They both say server not found. I did a red button reset on both of them and the HR54. No luck. All cables are in good shape and tight. NOTHING changed. Any ideas...

In the c61k settings there is a test for HDR, so it seems like directv is supporting HDR.

BTW before I buy the 4200, does the receiver have to support HDR?

It says 4K right on it. Apparently just not 4K with HDCP which is misleading and makes the receiver kind of useless with 4K. I found a used AVR-x4200.
