    Installing in the rain.

Depends on the installer..... if they want to work they will, if they don't want to work they won't. If you called an 800 number and it's an MSP or HSP coming out I am sure they will as it is all about getting the job done with those guys. If it is raining and they do the install, it more than...

4 to 5 recievers with DirecTV.... lets see. With DirecTV not paying anything to the installers...probably will take the guy 6 to 8 hrs due to the fact that he will probably have about a week of experience. D* installer part 2 Grrrr!

I would say he told you to leave the work order open due to the fact that if you close it and want to open another then Dish will run another credit check or the fact that when he does return... and hopefully he does... and you have closed the work order, then he will not be able to do the...

Purchase AT9 or get it through D*?

Good to know that you don't care if the installer does a crappy job, because he'll probably just come out and tell you that there is no line of site for the amount of money he will get paid to do the jos.. better for him to say no line of sote and not get paid then to do the job and make his...

    Couple quick questions about DirecTV

Zidion....look in the phone book and call a local retailer or dealer, no 800 numbers or websites. Depending on the rules of the apartment complex you may ned a specially mount for the dish and some flat wires. ALOT of apartment complexes have very strict rules when it comes to a satellte system...

    D* installer part 2 Grrrr!

I have'nt heard anything about 129 problems in the south or north. My understanding is that most people on the East coast are using 61.5

    D* installer part 2 Grrrr!

Looking at the photos I would have to agree with Stevo...... no shot at the 61.5 but looks as though the 129 would be there. And as mentioned earlier.. there is always the possibilty of a two dish system... your current location for 110/119 and another at 61.5 or 129 if 61.5 isn't possible.

igator are you now trying to get Dish Network installed?????? If so and you want Hi-def you will be getting a Dish1000. If you currently hace the PhaseIII DirecTV dish and are gettiong all of your programming then the Dish1000 should work where you're current Diush is. At least for core and...

    DirecTV Installer!!!GRrrr

igator... don't respond to those DNS guys..... they are Dish Network Service techs... underpaid and overworked.... always looking for a hand out as they are paid by the hour and don't get paid for what most techs or should I say real techs... consider custom work. As I mentioned earlier, pay...

    DirecTV Installer!!!GRrrr

igator....you yourself said the trenching would be tough... especially with a hand dig. As far as what you should pay... that would be between you and the company coming out. Be fair but not overly generous, though I am sure the installer would appreciate the generous part. I'm in Nebraska...

    DirecTV Installer!!!GRrrr

DirecTV will not give the persom anything extra for the pole mount and trenching the cable. Unfortunately the tech.. is he does the pole mount will have to hand trench the cable. They will more than likely pay them for the Dish Upgrade and additional receiver. If I was you I woud offer the tech...

    DirecTV Installer!!!GRrrr

In defense of you and the tech that will come out, remember, most of these guys are contractors not employees. If he is working for a HSP he will only get paid for an upgrade... probably about $30 - $40 and will be expected to do any and all work required to install the new dish for free. Now as...

Direct TV Advocated Lying About Need Of Phone-Line

DTV and their HSP and MSP program sucks..... we all know that. I pitty all those unexpecting customers that sign up with DTv for the local telco's "BUNDLED PACKAGE" a few maonths after the HSP or MSP does their "DIGITAL CABLE" install and installs the "FREE" now mandated by DTV - phone lines...
