    New set up SG2100 motor.

Do what L Alex says -- I seem to be getting confused as it is clear that my dish is RAISED from parallel with the axis of hte mount, just as he says! (sigh) Craig

    New set up SG2100 motor.

NO! -- You are setting a "Look Down" angle because you are not at the equator. Please check the manual again as the 25.5 doesn't sound right at all -- and I don't have my manual here to help. Here in Albany at about 43 degrees North the lookdown is ( if my failing mind is still working) 8-10...

    New set up SG2100 motor.

Use the 30 degree setting -- newer units use 40 degrees - meaning that yours has been sitting around for a year or so. (Probably!!) Personally, I would try my best to get the dish parallel to the axis of the motor arm and then use an edge of the bracket as a reference to move the required...

    true south sat

Don't sweat it! :-) You are using a motor and, I'll bet, have USALS capability. Be sure your pole is vertical. Be sure your 2100 is at the center position ("0"). Point the dish generally toward the south. Now, using USALS, drive the dish to something close to your true south -- the EchoStar...

    Is CBC Radio gone??

Thanks for all the replies. CBC has been FTA for YEARS, and I really don't understand scrambling something that is freely available on the net -- But then I still don't understand BEV cutting off an income stream by shutting Mike down after all the work he had done to support BEV in the US...

    Is CBC Radio gone??

Thanks -- I guess (sigh). Looks like one of my fav programs - Disk Drive - is gone forever!. Craig

    Is CBC Radio gone??

Maybe it is just me, but a couple of weeks ago I hadno problem getting CBC Radio - Radio2 T is my fav. But today - nothing, and a scan of NImiq 1 gives a few radio stations, but not the CBC feeds that have been FTA since C-Band days. Any thoughts?? Craig

    Using USALS with SG-2100

I'm glad that it worked for him, but shouldn't one move the dish to the "0" position and then do the reset? Craig

    Amazonas problem

Pete -- Thanks, I suspected as much. I find that if I delete all the tp's and do a blind scan of the sat that all is well until I leave the sat and return -- then things freeze up again! HUH!!! Craig

    Amazonas problem

No problem finding Amazonas at 61.0 degrees. Very strong signal on 11972 V. At first it worked fine, but now if I go to that bird I get a strong signal (if aiming) or a good picture (if viewing) for only 3-4 seconds, at which point the signal level drops way down and the quality goes to zero...

Can you hook up a DISEQC switch and motor to same receiver

I'm sure that makes for faster switching, but is there any other reason for the mini dish farm you have? :) Craig GO GOPHERS!!!!

    10600 vs 10750

Pete -- Thanks -- It is LOCAL Osc. Frequency, isn't it :) Seems to me there are one or two sats that require a universal LNB (G4R ??). I presume the universal will also work with all the regular sats in addition.

    10600 vs 10750

That is interesting. Howcome the LO frequency for the linear LNB is the range you specify. Usually the LO is 10750 with standard LNB's. Is this a function of using a universal LNB?
