On your 5000 does the Dolby indicator come up for a second then go away along with no sound? or are you just trying to find the actual APID?

Go Mercury II ! Looks like the Fortec Mercury is the one for me....has the 5.1 pass through and blind scan. My next receiver WILL have blind scan.

for some reason the software will not allow it. I e-mailed CW and the response was it will be fixed on the next software upgrade.

I have a a optical (spdif) cable out of the CW into a Motorola 501 AV center to get the AC-3, also regular L and R cables to get the other audio. For some reason I cannot get all sound out of the spdif connection only AC-3, which is kind of annoying because I have to switch audio selections on...

FYI, I inquired to Captive Works on the issue with not being able to enter in the "w" when entering in new sats....my reply was "We're aware of this issue. Apparently there is a bug in the firmware and our engineers are working on it so they can fix it in the next coming release"

If it does I have not figured it out or stumbled across it. Do you have any trouble adding satellites to yours? When I try to ass satellites it will not let me enter the proper location. Example: I am trying to enter in Satmex 6 at 113W but the receiver does not let me safe it as W only E.

Looks like I am going shopping for a 4x4 switch. Any suggestions on how to optimize quality and signal strength on satellites on the "arc". My true south sat is coming in around 80 on the quality but my others are coming in around 30 to 60.

I believe I have it on arc now picking up signals on various satellites....thanks for the info........just have to figure out this LNB setup thing. and 4x1 switch. Any suggestions?
