    Pansat 9200 and Chapparel feedhorn

Anole, Thanks for the reply but I do have one of the metal 1.8's. The 1.2 is ku only. Who has a dual band ortho that will work well with the 6' solid dishes. I would go bigger but my dish is off the side of the house on about a 14' 3" pole. I would love to find a 7.5 sami locally but I am not...

    Pansat 9200 and Chapparel feedhorn

Thanks Turbo, I have one of the new lnbf's ( I forget which one it is) but the performance of the corotor for c and ku seems to be much better. There has to be a better way than products such as the ck-1 and the like to get good reception on both c and ku. I am trying to get as much out of them...

    Pansat 9200 and Chapparel feedhorn

Is there any way to control polarity with a 9200 and Chapparel feedhorn? I am trying to get away from the combo lnbf's. The dish is moved by a Gbox. I know some of the older Pansat's had polarity control but the 9200 has nothing to hook the wires up to.

    Pansat 9200 power problem

Can I buy these caps locally at a place like Rat Shack or do I have to mail order them?

    Pansat 9200 power problem

My 9200 suddenly shut off the other day. Now it will not power up. I have seen a couple of threads in the past with capacitors (I think it was caps) that have failed. I have the box open and the power supply out. How can I tell if one is blown? I am not an electronics expert but I think if I can...

    SM-2200 TRIMAX meter

What do the guys that have one think of them? Price seems pretty decent and it has some good features. I have seen several threads about these but never have seen any comments about the owners opinion.

What is the best motor for a 1.2m offset

I did have one of the early 380's. I had several problems including a ton of slop in the motor and it locked up on occasion. I also tried one of the 9120's. The bracket was a bit flimsy and after one good south Florida thunderstorm it was bent. The dish is a Geosat pro 1.2. I haven't seen...

What is the best motor for a 1.2m offset

My motors keep taking a beating from slop in the shaft to bent mounting brackets. What it the toughest (and also accurate) motor for an 1.2m offset dish? I am getting tired of replacing them.

    SG9120 motor

The motor is pointed where it should be. The problem is either the signal coming from the receiver or some function of the motor. My due south is roughly 80 degrees. When I go to 101 the dish is pointed due south. It is either a signal or electrical problem.

    SG9120 motor

My 1.2m has been on the arc pretty close. We had a thunder storm come through the other day with some power issues. My dish is not even close to where it should be on USALS but the dish did not get knocked out in the storm. I went up and reset the motor and now it looks like all the positions...

What type of cable to use from actuator to V Box

I use regular sprinkler wire. I think it is 7 strand. Works fine.

    Installer in south Florida

Anyone know a good motorized dish installer in south Florida on the east coast. My meter died and I need someone that knows what they are doing to tweak my dish. I can't stand to yell back and forth with my wife again! Thanks

    DG-380 Motor backlash

I adjusted the screw on the side of my 380 as per Walrus' post and it does take the slop out. Be careful not to run it down too tight as it will lock up the motor. Takes about 30 seconds and the motor has never worked better.

    Pansat 9200

No just set it on top on the back left side facing it from the front. I'm not going to say it is a cure all and I may try to run a different file in it to see if that helps but the cover was hot to the touch and now it is cool and the flickering has gone.

    Pansat 9200

It is definitely heat related. Put a 4" fan on top of it and it is all but gone. Why would Pansat sell a $150 board that is going to fry their receiver?

    Pansat 9200

Thanks for the input. It is on a 1.2 m and signal quality is not a problem. Most everything that I care about is 90+ with a lot at 99. It is all over the arc and it is so brief it is hard to see what it is. I put an external fan on it last night but didn't have much of a chance to play with it...

    Pansat 9200

I just recently bought a replacement 9200 with a s2 plus board off ebay. It works fine other than a quick flicker on occasion on the bottom half of the tv screen which looks like color bars or a test pattern. It is only there for a fraction of a second. It is gone so fast I can barely describe...

    Any Retro TV feeds online?

I think it is 34.4. You may be able to get it with something like one of the clear stream antenna's or why not just put up a dish pointed at 83W.

Actually one of the West Palm stations has it but it may be a far reach to get it in Lauderdale.

    Horses keep moving my dishes

Why not 4 fence posts and 3 strands of barbed wire? It keeps the cows away from things we don't want them near on our property. It is cheap and only takes a few minutes to put up.

    How do I Cleanse a………..?

Not to hijack a thread but other than needing to update sats which can be added manually or software upgrades I can't see much reason to worry about what software is on the stb's as long as it functions the way it should. You have a purchase date from Ebay which was after the new encryption was...

Thanks pedragon, that's what I figured but every picture I have seen (I think they were motorized) c band lnb in a different place. And yes it is on a DG380. Marty

Do I still want the bar inside the LNBF vertical to the polar axis? I have seen pics with the c band lnb in all different positions on the BSC621.
