Yes, I still have one and it also has a very good ASTC tuner that works if you have the right firmware. They did have some CAP issues and I had to replace several CAP's but still a very good receiver with excellent fine motor control. I would definitely grab it!

    The Whimsical World of FTA

We recently had some pretty high winds that turned my 10 foot Channel Master at least 50 or 60 degrees off where it should be. I just repointed it - - - trying to get back on 58W and very much by accident ended up on 55.5W Intelsat 805 (well I can tell you for sure I'm staying on 55.5W). It...

    Question about AZBox Elite HD

I usually do firmware with fear and trembling. I have bricked computers and other devices because of failed firmware upgrades. I'm sticking with 0.9.5309 because I'm mainly using this as a satellite receiver right now. All the other functionality, I have not even started to play with yet...

    Question about AZBox Elite HD

Guys, I appreciate all the input. I got my problems solved - - - the thread has kinda spun out into left field somewhere. Here is my take away. The 0.9.5xxx firmware's are the best specifically 0.9.5309, 5020 and 5402 (thanks for the great feedback) AZBox should be my primary receiver...

    Question about AZBox Elite HD

What a great suggestion - in fact i just did it. I looped out off the AZBox to my microHD (AZ primary and micro secondary). All motor controls come off the AZBox. I can now blind scan any satellite using the micro and if I find something cool move the data over to the AZBox and scan it back...

I just got an AZBox Elite HD - - - thanks phlatwound Anyway, so far the first thing I did was update the firmware to 0.9.5309 using a USB - - no issues. i have several questions how folks are setup using an AZBox. Do most folks have them setup using a Loop out from another receiver? I ask...

Confirmed. Sky Angel is out of business as of January 14th.

I had Sky Angel both on satellite and the IPTV streaming. I paid the "lifetime" membership - - and frankly I feel like Sky Angel cheated me and many others. It is almost funny to go look at the old threads when they went from satellite to IPTV. i do not wish them ill, but I could see this...

Contest: Enter to Win a Titanium Satellite C1PLL LNBF and CS1 Conical Scalar - Ends 12/16/2013 Midni

It seems strange but my favorite Christmas was 1967 when I was 7 years old. I remember my family had moved into the house the year before and it was so cool to have the whole family together including my Grandmother. The only thing I remember I got was a little train that if you put it on a...

    c-band on small dish?

Here is one I did several years ago but I would not recommend it - - - this is really a toy and has very limited usefulness. I did another on a 4 foot dish that got much better signal. I now have a 10 foot Channel Master fixed on 58W. All that being said if you space is very limited - - -...

    Where to look next

I also vote motor for KU - - but I close second would be - - find and setup a C-Band dish, I think this can be done relatively cheap if you can find a free or very inexpensive C-Band dish locally. Best of success!
