gmd63 Took a look thru my 8000 manual, and there is nothing in it for adding sats, or tp's, so I won't bother looking for the cd that came with it. I did add a sat, and some tp's last fall, and it was a pain in the ass to work with, but I got it done after a lot of playing around. Bob

It's been weak for the last few days, as I tried to watch world news at 6:30pm, and it was a no go on Monday.

I've been looking for a legal DVB-S2 add on board, for awhile, for the SV 8000 HD, and have not found anything, anywhere.

I'm going to try it on a wsi 4ft. dish, in about 4 weeks, and will post results.

The AZBOX looks real good. I'm thinking about buying one, to go with a 8' c band dish, that I just got for dirt cheap, and use them as a scan the sky's setup.

I'm using Aug. 14 2008, v402 b207, and it's running good. Didn't see any type of cleaners for the SV 8000, when looking around on the net. I upgraded mine from the original factory firmware to the newer one.

FTABmanO Check out OSDisc.com for Ubuntu Studio, or 64 Studio, I think they run directly from cd or dvd, and are geared for sound, and graphics, and such. Bob

Good luck with the return to GoSatellite, I crossed them off my list a long time ago, and switched to Sadoun. I bought a Captain 8000 HD from Go, and ended up banishing it out to the garage apartment/computer shop for infrequent use. Usually have to put a hex on it, and do a little voodoo dance...

Just ordered, and received 2 wsi 1.2 meter dishes from galaxy-marketing this last week, and they came in with the best shipping price of $129.00, versus sat av at $215.00, and sadoun at $377.50. Doing some changes here to the dish farm. Bob

You can reverse mount a 2 bow tie cm antenna, in place of the lnbf, with the proper focal point from the dish. Similar to the old 7ft cm paradyne antenna.
