    Does such a pc-sattuner exist ?

    last that I had looked, there were no PCI cards that supported blind scan in hardware. They all rely on software to do a sort of brute-force scan of the stream. I would suggest that you look at DVBViewer as I think they had a delphi SDK available. At least it would be a start.

    Brian: thanks.. I didn't even realize the thing had a VCII module in it. I'll have to open the case tonight and take a peek. there's nothing on it like the consumer models where you can see the module from the back of the unit.

    I would think on any dish, from any company, shipping might be a killer. anyway: Skyvision has a 6' polar mount for $517 Sami has a 6' polar with (small) actuator for $524 I don't think Patriot makes a dish that small. Their website shows 3.1m as the smallest prime focus dish they have.
