yep. if you talk to hard core cord cutters, they are all about mobile / free wifi. they get rowdy if someone refers to themselves as a cord cutter but still have their cable modem.... LOL.

same here. left dish after ~10 years (disputes and price increases were getting crazy). went with the triple play bundle- and now have 3x the internet speed, crystal clear phone, and way more channels of nothing to watch. saving ~$100/mo

Most of those refer to strictly mobile. their numbers are low, though, because as Ice has noted- mobile data is limited.

used a diamond 9000hd with OTA + G18 for a long time. HD was great and never had trouble with recordings. there are a few out there that have the ATSC tuner.

try the thumb drive. had it happen here. visionsat was locked on 101w fixed for a long time then one day, no signal. after moving the dish, could lock other birds, but never 101. i switched it out with a coolsat and locked 101. but the visionsat back, and nothing. figured it was time to...

right, but what about if you want both atsc and cable? the dtvpaldvr is strictly atsc. the cm7400 supports qam, but not sure how it would like atsc and basic cable channels being fed into it simultaneously. it would be interesting to try.

With the current prices of copper, it may be in your best interest to sell it to a scrap yard. We sold a bunch of cat-5 and got $1.10/lb. Copper ranges from $1-$3 /lb. If you have a place close by, it wold save you a lot of trouble.
