Exactly my thoughts. No time to build my own and the SSD *is on the small side. From what I'd read, really no need for an i7 , if he'll be mainly gaming , surfing , etc.. ? 512 SSD will be plenty to last for yrs in the one I bought. Can always upgrade the GPU a few yrs down the road.

Wife and I really enjoyed playing GH. I still have every game for the 360, along with a couple of guitars. Fell by the wayside when we upgraded to Xbox One. We'll be giving this a look, come this fall. Would be nice if they could somehow find a way to import songs we already own into this one.

Same here. Monoprice or Amazon for my hdmi cables. 720p vs 1080p really won't make a difference gaming on a 360. Most , if not all 360 games, run no higher than 1280x720. But as others stated here, get yourself an hdmi cable, set the 360 output to 1080p and you'll notice a huge difference.
