    RedZone Channel on Comcast

Anyone hear anything new on the NFL RedZone channel front? I'm really hoping it'll be exactly what DirecTV has offered for the past two seasons... the only thing that has me wondering, though, is the wording about "offer the NFL’s RedZone Channel when it is created." Are they scrapping what's...

Time Warner Cable To Pull Viacom's MTV, VH1, Nick & Comedy Central Off (Averted)

The problem is that they're running those dumb crawls nationwide... We have Comcast and still have to see that burning into our screens on Nick while our daughter watches episode after episode of Spongebob.

    MLB Network

I was just checking Comcast.com and, as far as I can tell, MLB Network is going to be part of the digital tier and not part of the sports package? Or, have they just not updated the sports pack listings yet? Here's hoping for digital so I don't have to shell out the extra $5 a month. :)

Olympic Soccer & BBall HD channels

We've got them here on Comcast in South Jersey... none of the other HD channels the other Comcast systems have gotten over the past six months (SciFi, USA, Food, HGTV, CNN, AMC, etc,) but we've got two olympic channels in HD to go along with the other 2 or 3 channels the olympics are on... way...

    Comcast & Big Ten Network

I read that it'll be on the digital tier in Philly, but didn't see anything about the sports tier in my area... That'd be a real snub to NFL Net if Comcast sticks Big 10 in digital, but leaves NFL in the sports tier...

Audio Issues With WPVI-HD (6ABC) in Philly

I'm on Comcast of South Jersey (the old Garden State Cable franchise) and, for the past couple of weeks, the audio levels on WPVI-HD have been peaking horribly when I tune in for Lost. It's gotten to the point that I've actually been watching the SD feed instead. Has anyone else noticed...

Give me three reasons why you don't like Comcast.

    1) The season pass feature for the HD-DVR is horrid. I only trust it for shows I don't mind missing. 2) Channels aren't rolled out nationally. So, it took an extra year for me to get TNT-HD even though I can see Philly from my window. 3) On-Demand is hit or miss for me. Never can count on it...

Anyone got any good deals through Comcast?

I just got hooked up for the next year... I called, selected the option to cancel the service and told them I was giving them a chance to match the pricing I'd get with DirecTV for a similar package. The savings was going to be $35, so I said they needed to match or beat that. A few minutes...

Prices are going up in January... *sigh*

I just saw an ad for the "Comcast Double-Play," which is Internet & Digital Voice for $50 per month. Where I live, the only high-speed option is Comcast and I almost lost it when I saw that they're charging $59 if you don't also have TV service. Looks like it's cheaper to sign up for the...

Prices are going up in January... *sigh*

Just got my December cable bill and the dreaded insert was there was the new prices for 2008. I don't have it in front of me, but I remember seeing that standard cable is going up $3 per month and the DVR service is increasing by $2 or $3 per month. So, for the Digital Plus package with one...

    SCIFI-HD? When in Boston?

More HD would be great, but I was watching WCAU (NBC-HD) out of Philly during Sunday Night Football and it was pixelated to all hell... I'm just hoping that everything doesn't get degraded as they keep adding more.

    Go Comcast!! New HD's

Golf/VS HD showed up in the guide last night, although I couldn't tune to the channel. I kept getting a message saying I wasn't authorized to view it. Hmm... This is going to be part of the standard HD lineup and not part of the sports pack, right?

    Go Comcast!! New HD's

Still nothing new here in South Jersey... then, again, it took them more than a year to get us TNT-HD after my friends 15 miles away in Philly had it.

    What do you pay?

I had a great 12-month deal where I was only paying $50 for Digital Silver plus my extra digital outlet, the DVR and HD. It just ended and I spent 20 minutes on the phone trying to work out a new deal. I haven't gotten my first bill yet, but I think it'll be somewhere in the $70 area for...

    Fearnet

I'm actually a little underwhelmed with FearNet... I'm a HUGE horror movie fan and I'm just not feeling it. Comcast adds 15 horror movies into an on-demand channel whose menu looks just like every other on-demand channel and calls it FearNet? Ahhh... I actually would have prefered a...

We just got MTV-HD in South Jersey (the old Garden State Cable franchise Comcast purchased years ago), but didn't lose INHD2... interesting...

"Comcast Enhanced Cable" What Does it include?

The "enhanced cable" package in Jersey includes the "value pack" with ESPN 2, VH1 Classic, Game Show Network, etc. It's Comcast's way of charging $5 extra for 5 channels, one of which (ESPN2) I actually watch.

    Comcast DVR

Thanks for the advice... A Comcast DVR it is in about 2 weeks! Looking forward to watching one NFL game while DVRing the other and seeing what I missed when the first game is in commercials.

    Comcast DVR

I'm looking at going with a Comcast DVR in about 2 or 3 weeks, but wasn't sure if it'd be better off to wait a little bit due to the deal they announced with Tivo a few months ago... Has anyone heard if is Comcast slated to come out with a new DVR anytime soon or is Tivo going to have a...

Just got off the phone with Comcast.....

Whoo hoo... I just checked my lineup for Pine Hill, NJ (old Garden State Cable area in South Jersey) and we're getting Universal HD, Travel Channel, Oxygen, GAC and Telefutura (???) on the 28th. TNT-HD launched about 2 weeks ago for us... :bow

Finally got TNT-HD and Current added to lineup...

Travel Channel? Wow... I used to love watching that when I had DirecTV. Hopefully they add it in my area too. Where did you find out about the new North Jersey channels?

Finally got TNT-HD and Current added to lineup...

I'm in the old Garden State Cable area of South Jersey that Comcast controls and we finally got TNT-HD yesterday, which my friends on the other side of the river have had for many, many, many months. Al Gore's Current channel was also added to the digital tier. Hopefully a sign of good things...

[COMCAST] TNT-HD?? Will Comcast NJ Ever Get It?

I feel your pain... I've been waiting and waiting for TNT-HD and ESPN2-HD here in Pine Hill, New Jersey. My friends on the other side of the river (who have Comcast) have had TNT-HD since the original deal was signed last year... As soon as my special Digital Silver pricing that I hammered...

[COMCAST] No more west feeds for the pay channels? Hmm...

I just noticed that, other than HBO-W, Comcast is no longer carrying the west feeds for any of the other HBO channels. Same thing with the other pay channels, with the main channel retaining it's east and west feeds, but all of the other flavors only providing the east feed. Is Comcast trying...

    ESPN2HD and UniversalHD coming...

No UNI-HD in South Jersey as of the 1st... *doh* Hopefully this just means they're clearing the space for ESPN2, because I hated knowing that Sunday Night Baseball was on ESPN2 in HD while I was stuck watching the SD feed.
