    DW

I used to watch DW in German on I34 55,W; since some time I can get the signal but without video and audio. Am I alone ? I saw somewhere that that Information for America: The satellite transmission via Intelsat 34 - aimed at our partner stations for DW Deutsch+ and DW Español - will be...

    Help with the Acme Nut

Just a follow-up. I ordered the Roton brass nut, cost 30$ as already know, but the delivery (in USA) was 20$ (Ouch!). Finally I found this week a local shop to complete the process. I followed the suggestion from Snofly (Initial thread by Lone Gunman, March 2010) : .... Do not cut the outside...

    Help with the Acme Nut

If the grease application is a one time one, then the bronze nut is more attractive. Some years back, I have dismantled the actuator and applied Lucas X-TRA Heavy Duty Grease to the shaft; I have just to renew my application, if I understand correctly. Mike

    Help with the Acme Nut

Thanks again for your time wvman! Hobbysat have not the piece (brass or nylon). Waiting for Scott response. I am also considering the brass nut (Roton, referred by Lone Gunman); the cost is 30,77$ and the delivery charge is 13$, so total 43,77$. If that was an Oilite nut I would not hesitate...

    Help with the Acme Nut

I finally got a response from my contact at Weise (Scott Albright); he tells me that they still have some of these nuts, 19.95$ each. He must check for the UPS charge for the good dellvered in the USA (my sister). I also contacted hobbysat.ca as they advertise the acme nut for 19.95$ (nylon) and...

    Help with the Acme Nut

Thanks for your time, wvman! Meanwhile I try to get info on the Von Weise site. When I get to the first page of Index, Gearmotor, Gear Motor, Gears, Linear Actuators, Actuators Motorreductores, transmisiones, actuadores lineales, Motores DC, Motores AC, Gear Reducer, DC Motor, PMDC Motor I see...

    Help with the Acme Nut

I'll take your offer wvman!, if ever you find one in your shop; if so, just PM me. What is the right procedure to remove the old one ? You seem to be pretty knowledgeable, which I am not :( Mike

    Me-tv goofing up lately?

The last time that I scanned SES1 I got without difficulties Decades, Heroes, Heroes ALT (Q70%), but no MyTV. I had to play with the skew to get the signals, getting around Q63%. You might try to do the same. Mike

    Nebraska Public TV

Yes I know Ice; I even initiated the thread. I just find frustrating that the CS6100 get it right, but not the CS8100. Mike

    Nebraska Public TV

The signal is good here (DVB). On my CS6100, I get a stable video (no sound: AC3); on CS8100, pulsating video and audio, really not worth watching( sigh!!!). And it seems that the Coolsat Company is no more, so no way to resolve that problem. Mike

    Coosat 8100HD: Weird behaviour

I have a CS8100 and CS6100; the LNB feed signal goes first into CS8100, then CS6100. I have been watching NET (Nebraska PBS) on G28/89W lately and something really curious is happening: On the CS6100, all the signals are OK, but on CS8100, some channels like 9, 11, 15 pulsates about once a...

    What is that satellite ?

I get nearly 50% QS on my CS6100; just listening to Norah Jones Concert right now. I am at longitude -73,96. Mike

    What is that satellite ?

It would be nice if they carry the HD PBS Channels too, but maybe is this too much asking. It would be just right for me, cause the AMC 21 is a bit low where I am and in the trees! Nice anyway. Mike

    What is that satellite ?

Thanks Ice. I will have to change my pair of glasses I think :). Mike

    What is that satellite ?

I am pointing east of AMC 6, 72 W, somewhat and on my CS6100, I get on Ku ETV Satellite Service from South Carolina ETV and Radio (south carolina): 11964 V 11263, which carry mostly PBS stuff. I do not find any other signal there, vertical or horizontal. Where I am ? Jerry

    Picking up a BUD tomorrow

If that may help, my XTI-10 has a weight of 190 lbs with the mount; the model XI-10 had with mount a weight of 160 lbs. If you can separate the dish from its mount, you should be able to move the dish without difficulty. Mike

    Forthcoming Coolsat 8200

Has somebody have any info about the forthcoming CS8200: specs and availability ? I might be tempted to buy a CS8100 but I would be really  if the CS8200 appears on the shelves in just a few weeks/months from now. Mike
