    as soon as you select a channel it tells you if its mpeg-2 or mpeg-4 in the bottom right hand corner of the channel bar....just scroll through all your channels and check....you should have some mpeg-4

    a weak signal has nothing to do with the receiver....it could be your dish thats not aimed properly or a dish thats too small

    this is correct....the add on module will not get you dvb-s2....there is no way to get true fta dvb-s2 with the viewsat max....you are limited to dvb-s with that receiver.....

    the tp you listed on 121w is dvb-s2...your receiver is not capable of receiving dvb-s2 tps so that is why you are not getting it.... the tps you listed on 103w are listed as dvb-s so you should be able to get them with your receiver....unless they have recently changed to dvb-s2 im not sure....

    when i look inside my c-band LNB how should the LNB be mounted at the "0" skew position in relation to the big metal post inside the lnb? (not the probes) should the big metal post be horizontal? as in, parallel with the ground? or should it be vertical? as in 90 degress standing straight up...
