Wallyhts, thanks for the video! I was finally was able to view it. Why do you say programming isn't going to be around long? They have been saying that for years, and it's still here. Besides, without C band, networks can't feed cable tv.

Ok, The mapmaster voodoo is new to me. Can anybody clue me in on how all of this is done on the DSR922? Step by step? (Just heard of this shortly after I became a member of this forum) Or head me to a website that already has the basic steps? Thanks!

I know that I toasted the lnbf tuner. I popped the side off of it and saw a couple of toasted surface mount capicitors. Also, the voltage coming into the tuner is only about 2.5V. The lnbf port is putting out nothing. I also suspect the lnbf on the dish is toast. With lightning, the chances...

Everything with the DSR410 was peachy, until I lost the receiver and LNBF in a lightning air burst:mad:. Is there another receiver that will allow me to subscribe to channels with digital C? I see the DSR922 (pricey!). Any others?

Well, I flipped my LNBF 90 degrees, and I was able to get into the secret menu on the DSR410. I made the recommended setting changes as per eurosport's suggestion, but still no green light. Before all of this, to be sure I actually had a signal of some sort, I hooked up my FTA Sathawk, and...

eurosport- I got into the secret menu and set the parameters, but no joy. Dumb question- Is this a circular signal and not horizintal/vertical, hence left anf right settings? If so, I'll have to put the plate in the LNBF. I appreciate all of the help everybody is giving me! :):)

Corrado-I can't get into the secret menu to change these parameters. I'm not sure what button to use for "option". This is a generic remote, not the original DSR410 remote. I will try hitting the menu button on the receiver, then using numbers on remote. Will this do the same as the option...
