    Missing Center-KU problems?

Hello I have my 8' Alcoa dish and I am having problems with KU band. There is a center cover missing on the dish, would that cause the loss in signal on KU? Been tweaking the dish and C band is great but KU is lacking. If I filled the hole would that make my signal any better?? Here is a pic...

    Alcoa Aluminum Dish is up

I think your correct. Thanks. I don't know how my new neighbors like me now ;) Was worried about the KU dish now it's a BUD and the KU! I guess I will find out soon enough. Then again they could have bought this place torn it down and made a big yard out of it. It's ugly enough to tear down...

    Alcoa Aluminum Dish is up

Sure. I have the parts numbers for them also. It had just one arm to hold a dish/directv LNB so I just ordered the 3 leg support mount and LNB holder. I will have the pics up later today. Here is a picture before the new mount was ordered. John

    Alcoa Aluminum Dish is up

Hello all, Well after a few months of planing and bad weather I got my Alcoa 8' dish up. Got a new 12' black pipe in the ground, The Actuator works great and it tracks the arc using a Gbox V3000 , BSC621-2 LNB and a Traxis 3500. (58w to 137w) It was about an hour to set it up and watching...

I will try that today. I did find the missing TP's, if I move the dish east or west a few clicks I will get them but lose the others. Thanks John

    Strange Freq

Ok, I used the installed switch and all is almost ok. The bleed over issue is gone! Now it looks as I am missing some TP's that used to be there. I have both V and H TP's showing up. Also the Q jumps up and down no matter how much I tweak it (eg. 24 to 58) Seems like the Q has to hit 18 then...

    Strange Freq

Hey B.J. Ok, it must be my switch. I removed it and connected directly to the C-band side and the oddball channels are gone. I will try the 22khz switch on the LNBF and see if that works to clear the signal up. That was a new switch too. I have 4 more of them to try. Maybe it's just a bad one...

Hello all, I was blind scanning AMC1 and found 3.095 and 3.086 Ghz How is this possible? C band is 3.700–4.200 Ghz correct? Let me know if I'm missing something here cause I don't know how this is taking place. Thanks John
