127.0W Galaxy 13 BBC Channel still up?

BBC isn't a network, it's a multi channel broadcaster either commercial or public depending on the channel, BBC World and the BBC for UK audiences are separate entities. NHK World I believe is funded by the Japanese license fee unlike BBC World which is not funded by the UK's neither does it...

127.0W Galaxy 13 BBC Channel still up?

BBC World is funded by advertising/carriage deals so I can understand them not willing to pay for international distribution in HD unless someone offers up the cash.

127.0W Galaxy 13 BBC Channel still up?

I didn't realise BBC World was being produced in HD, because it isn't available anywhere here in Europe in HD, you maybe confusing it with a DVB-S2 transponder and or with it being 16:9 SD as it is here in Europe?

C-Band First Try 1.2m Offset here in Wales, UK

Gibertini Collar arrived and works well and looks so much better, my dad came up with idea to cut down a plastic plate from an old picnic set and just pop it inside, seems to be no signal loss with it fitted hopefully it'll keep the water out.

C-Band First Try 1.2m Offset here in Wales, UK

Yes we have better options with KU here for both feeds and "out of footprint" reception of say beams targeting North Africa and Middle East. I came to the conclusion after reading German forums about the polariser that it had not been setup in correctly, now seems to be okay also my dad as I've...

C-Band First Try 1.2m Offset here in Wales, UK

I enjoy doing them :) C-Band is seemingly doing so good I may actually leave this dish as C only, I originally intended it to become my main KU feedhunting dish but I'm enjoying C so much.

C-Band First Try 1.2m Offset here in Wales, UK

Received my Panorama ER861 LNB, AV-Comm Waveguide Polariser and scalar ring yesterday. Tried for BBC Arabic on Intelsat 10-02 at 1W this morning and instantly it brought it in with no break up, only the last 10 minutes has it started to break up and its better than it ever was on the older...

C-Band First Try 1.2m Offset here in Wales, UK

Found BBC Arabic on Intelsat 10-02 at 1W breaking up on 4025 R 7324 which I've been told is a great catch on a 1.2m here so I am proud of that. Probably going to replace the dielectric plate in the LNB soon.

C-Band First Try 1.2m Offset here in Wales, UK

I've heard stories about 40E where close to Russia you could put a C-Band LNB into the air and point it in roughly the right location and it would come in just by that. Sadly she was deactivated last weekend so didn't get chance to try to receive that satellite, she'd been serving in an incline...

C-Band First Try 1.2m Offset here in Wales, UK

Yes we do, all the bigger traditional channels and their spin off's are in the clear at 28.2/5E in KU band. But the UK has a very good terrestrial network with OTA is great due to many many relays (translators) which either carry a full of reduced service of DVB-T muxes.

C-Band First Try 1.2m Offset here in Wales, UK

That Virgin Island / Puerto Rico mux sounds interesting to me. Very rarely I see anything from the US over the air networks any more, at one time you'd see them all round the place in European skies. I am continually shocked by how good my 1m Gibertini is I can't wait to be able to clear the...

No just bolted it to the feed arms and my dad who's much better at metal work than me quickly made the collar mount out of some sheet steel. He's working on making a better collar out of some exhaust clamps.

Hi Joe, that a nice photo, what's carried on them birds anything interesting being in Wales I have no idea :) Today tried for 20E, using Viva Deutschland at 19.2E on the KU part of the LNB since that's in the correct range as a guide to where I was. 20E boomed in at 19.2E fine tuned it with...

C-Band First Try 1.2m Offset here in Wales, UK

Few weeks ago I managed to get a 125cm Aluminium Gibertini Offset Dish (One of the best 1.2's you can buy here in Europe) I decided I wanted to test C-Band here. I bought a C-Band LNB and offset scalar the LNB is actually one of these 4DTV ones you guys use which are useless for KU here in...
