Can't see anything west of 99W

Guys, thank you all for so much help on this. Yes, I am in the North Hemisphere. The dish was pointing North b/c the wind wrenched the dish around. This forum is so great! Thank you guys for responding so quickly and putting up with my incessant posting. Satellite stuff is just so cool...

Can't see anything west of 99W

It's just an analog receiver. Also, I did reset the east / west limits on the satellite.

My longitude is 93.77W, so I guess IA6 is my true south?

Can't see anything west of 99W

I think my dish may be misaligned. Thanks to the help of a bunch of folks on this forum, I got a big dish system working. Unfortunately, it's not really working well... I was able to find 87W, 93W, 95W, 97W, and 99W. I can't see anything to the west of 99W though. The system is analog...

    No Return Pulse

Ok, I moved it around a bit more, and now I'm getting a really fuzzy signal of some Football game on Channel 15 V. Also, I think I saw Oprah on channel 24 H. What satellite would this be?

    No Return Pulse

    No Return Pulse

At the place where I work we have an old C Band satellite system, which lost the arc during a bad windstorm. I was trying to reprogram the receiver, and the instructions said to move it East until I got a "No Return Pulse" signal, which I did. Then it said to move it West a bit, and set that...

    System repair

All the bolts seem to be pretty snug.

    System repair

Total newbie here. Yeah, it's at work, but someone asked me to check on it, so it counts as "work related," IMHO. Turning the receiver on and selecting any satellite that it has programmed into it and there's naught but a blank snowy screen. If it has "lost the arc" how do I go about...

    System repair

Where I work, there used to be a big dish setup. According to a guy who worked here then, some time ago, a wind storm messed something up. The original tech who oversaw the installation of the satellite dish is long gone. It hasn't been used in probably 3 or 4 years. What do I need to look...
