    help with this old BUD

What you are looking for, is Quality Signal. The lnb should show a signal strength, just being hooked up. But it will only show Quality Strength if you're near a Hot Transponder. You can turn the feedhorn assembly 90 degree's to change polarity, until you get the DMX721. Of course that is manual...

Maybe you should put the Chaparral back on it, and see if it will pick up any thing? Only remember that it will be single polarity, meaning one side (or the other). If you find something with a blind scan, you can determine which polarity it is later. Which makes me think about the SKEW, maybe...

    help with this old BUD

I don't have a viewsat or a DMX721, but I'm sure the DMX721 is a voltage controlled lnbf. So, the viewsat should be able to control the polarity. Since I don't know anything about the viewsat, all I can say is to set it up for an L.O. setting of 5150 for C-Band channels and an L.O. of 10750 for...

Assuming your elevation is correct, and it looks right to me. Then my next guess would be your north and south is off? Try getting something that's straight up, like maybe This TV on AMC3 @ 87.0w. Once you get it lined up, then try for the lower (more west) feeds. Start at the top and work your...

Slave Digital to Analog - 10' BUD - Help Needed

Don't know anything about the Pansat 250 receiver, but if you have a single polarity C-Band LNB, and I'm sure you do, and the Pansat 250 will not control the polarotor, then it is highly unlikely that you are getting both V & H polarity. The Pansat won't be able to tell the difference (polarity)...

    gbox 3000

Don't know if you ever found any answers or not, I've been away for about a month and I'm just seeing this. I don't have a Gbox (operational at the moment), so I'll stay out of that. But, it's best to have switches between the motor and the lnb's. That zinwell should work fine.

    Unused BUD Dish? Any value?

I've never had a Winegard dish, they are supposed to be good ones, and they sure do look good. Yours looks to be in terrific shape to me, but it sure is high on that pole, which will make it more difficult to get down (maybe)? If you think you can handle the height, then by all means go for it...

How Long Have You Had Your BUD?

I've had mine this long. I was thinking 1979-1980, but don't really remember for sure. I had a Drake ESR something or other, and it was a 70mhz with lna and down block converter. It had two hand cranks, one for elevation and the other to move it from one sat to another sat. You had to write down...

what came with your receiver and what you ordered were diseqc switches, a multi-switch is not a diseqc switch, it works entirely different you need a multi-switch for the Primestar lnb I wouldn't know if it is repairable or not? you can be on the look-out for a cheap one somewhere, people are...

Bud and Prime star Help Needed

I think a good suggestion for now, would be to set-up the Primestar dish, so you can get used to the Coolsat, and you can take you time on the C-Band dishes, while still enjoying the FTA programming.

Bud and Prime star Help Needed

One thing I can think of, is the Primestar lnb is going to need a multi-switch to work with the Coolsat. Another is, in case you are not aware of it, the Coolsat won't drive an actuator. You will need the analog receivers to do that. Or you can get a Gbox/Vbox, which are devices that will...

    C Band Experiment?

Well I did play briefly with a 1.2m dish and C-Band, but I didn't have what I would call a great success. I did get C-Band, but very little, and since it's been a long time back and I can't verify that 103.0w had any channel I did get with the 1.2m dish. I'll go along with what tvropro said and...

    LNBF

Using a BSC621, you need to go into the menu's on the 922, into Options 6-4-2 and in #2 right arrow over to "C-Band and Ku-Band LNBFs". You also need to have separate cables from the BSC621, one for C and one for ku. Also you need a high frequency splitter (as in 2 splitters) for both C and Ku...

    Non-moving C-Band Project

Fred, I see that Birdview has a hole in it. I'm guessing it's where one of the struts used to be bolted up? But even if it's not, I can think of nothing that should hinder it working at full capacity. With or without the hole?
