Just make sure you also are using UPS's on all of your necessary equipment first (Computer, switches, modem, etc.), or else you'll still have a power outage during the change over. You'll drain them quite quickly if you're folding at the max though...

You might need to buy more than just that to functionally test the folding (like a power sub-station) - especially if you use the SLI with 2-3 units!

I get the 511 about 20% of the time and it really slows things down. I've never deleted it though - just wait till it finishes. My PPD goes down about 2000 with the it.

Yeah, little did I know it would take investing in a new GPU, more fans, more cooling, more power, etc. If I leave my GPU fan to auto, it doesn't keep things cool enough. It seems to want to hold the temp around 70C. I over-rode it to 85% today and now it's sitting at 57C. Oh the ongoing...

Good idea about underclocking it. Last time I iced down my GPU, or any electronics for that matter, I ended up with a wattery mess and non-working electrinocs. But I'll try it again just for your sake! :D
