I have some some questions. Please keep in mind that I am pretty new to this. I currently rent a duplex and had a dish installed. downstairs i have the r15 receiver. Since I rent, I couldn't have another line installed. I purchased the sonora d575d dstacker, since i thought that was all I would need. I have the single line running into the receiver. I thought all i had to do was run that line into the d575d, and then run the two cables into each tuner. However, I do not get a picture. Am I missing something? Do I need another part for this to work? Any info or suggestions would be great.

I thought I read one time the R15 had a built in destaker.

Ok, i purchased the stacker i needed. i connected two lines from the switch to the stacker, then the line to the house from the stacker. Inside i have the destacker connected to the line coming from the wall, and then to the two inputs on the back of the receiver. I have all the channels (which I didnt when i had just the destacker). But, i still can not record one channel and watch another at the same time. It tells me that it has to cancel recording it or switch to that channel (same thing i would get without the stacker and destacker). So what am i still doing wrong? Also, i got an hrfpi power inserter? with the stacker. Do i need to do anything with that? And if so where does it go? Im soooo close.....

In order to externally destack for two tuner inputs, you also need a multiswitch and a high-frequency splitter.

Connect the stacked LNB lead to the HF splitter input. Connect one splitter output to the multiswitch 13 volt LNB input.

Coonnect the other splitter output to the destacker input, and connect the destacker output to the multiswitch 18 volt LNB input.

Then, connect the receiver's LNB inputs to any two multiswitch output ports.

The R15s I have worked on and set up had internal destackers that would seem to make this external destacker rig unnecessary. To access the internal destacker, first, go through the guided set-up menu and make sure the receiver is set for single LNB, round dish. Then, when the setup is complete, hold in the "active" and right arrow buttons on the receiver's front panel at the same time. You cannot use the buttons on the remote control for this purpose.

One caveat here. A couple of months ago, DirecTV sent out new software taking the internal destackers out of three H20 receivers that I am responsible for and I had to give that customer a destacker and a multiswitch (actually, I had to give them two destackers and a 5x4 multiswitch), and it has been reported elsewhere by someone else that the internal destacker had been taken out of his R15, but I suspect that the problem is that he has set his R15 into triple LNB mode and the internal destacker might be taken out of the hidden service screen menu in that set-up. I remember that some of the Sony STD receivers could not be set in stacked mode when two or three LNB input choices had been made.

You only need the multiswitch if you have more than one DVR. The d575d desatcker (what the OP has) has two outputs to feed the two inputs of a DVR.

Update on my new Apple iphone 18PM:
Battery now lasts for 4 days or 96 hours and the most drain is having the Tesla app running in the background and polling emails and Texts. My old 15PM was barely lasting 24 hours.

It seems the phone gets locked into Sat mode. A software patch is coming to avoid that pitfall, but it comes too late for those who already fell in.

If you ponied up for an iPhone Duo, keep it away from anything other than your soft, fleshy fingertips. No fingernails, no dust, sand, dirt, or other particulate matter. And don't bend it more than it needs to. Zack has destroyed $2,000 of Apple hardware to get those views, which should cover his expenses.

Comcast is the first to report, with a massive 274,000 loss in video subscribers.

In the 3Q of 2016, Comcast had 21.42 million video subscribers and was the #1 provider, now at 10.39 million and is the #3 Provider, YTTV is #2 ( who also surpassed DirecTV-8 Million and Dish-under 5 Million), Charter/Spectrum is #1.

yes. even copper lines in a house degrade over 70 years, I doubt coax would last that long. Fiber Optic on the isp side will last over 70 years with very dedgration

Sometimes a thread gets so many posts in it that is can cause issues for the server so that why today we introduce The Song Name Game Part 3!

So let the game continue!

The last song was added by Bobby who posted...

One Meat Ball - Andrews Sisters

CONTINUE ON AND HAVE FUN! WELCOME HOME TO SATELLITEGUYS.US!

Here are the original rules for the game as posted by WebbyDude back in 2006. http://www.satelliteguys.us/threads/68645-Song-Name-Game

Just name a song title and the band who performed it. The next person does the same thing, but needs to list a song title or band name which includes a word from the previous entry. Pick songs from any genre.

Example:

Long Live Rock and Roll -- Rainbow

Rainbow in the Dark -- Dio

Another example:

Ride the Lightning -- Metallica

Lightning Strikes -- Ozzy Osbourne

Get it?

An additional note: we all know that song titles, sometimes, use profane words. Because this is a family friendly website it is advised that you clean up that title up a bit. This is accomplished by using something like sh!t instead of the real word. Thanks....

Well, the bag can't weigh that much, right? But by law food product packaging must display the actual net weight of the product, i.e., the contents of the container, so by any logic, if not law, a store's stated per-ounce cost should reflect that figure. But since there's not any law regulating shelf statements, a store can say whatever it wants without violating any rules. So I guess the answer is more consumer legislation. Or simply caveat emptor.

I would think that the Vendor/Maker of the product would have a say in it, showing the Correct weight ...
You would think it would be in the contract.

I do look at the ounces of items, but unless its way off, I don't check the math, may have to start now.

Remember when you use to get a 13.5 oz bag of Chips .... Thats a PARTY Size now.

Unless the specific product or its packaging is known at the time of weighing, estimating the tare weight for a PoS system is a tall order.

I'm pretty sure that produce bags can't get any thinner. ;)

You certainly don't want to put unbagged produce on a belt, scale, or in a clerk's hands (gloved or not).
I would think that all the packaging would already be accounted for ... they weigh the container, subtract that from the scale, then add the product , so its weighing the Product only

You would be thinking wrong when it comes to goods that are sold by weight (meat, produce, nails). Those items typically go on the scale wrapped without an associated tare. The weight only excludes the sticker because it hasn't been printed yet.

Perhaps only for sliced meat and cheese. Salads and similarly "shifty" or "drippy" items are typically weighed in deli cartons of some sort.

My monster burritos (up to two lbs.) are weighed in their foil jackets or paper mache take-out trays, and the jacket/tray is then "sealed" with the printed label as it comes off the printer.

Precision has to give way to practicality in situations like that.

I hope these new "most powerful" satellites will mean that DISH can provide every channel that can be sourced in HD in HD. I do not like the fact that two of my favorite channels (Start and H&I) are SD. I was also very disappointed after installation that METV has to be streamed from my internet connection. Finally, I dropped the locals upon seeing that my local CW channel is in blurry letterboxed SD when it has been HD OTA for years.

This piece gets me - the fact that Dish has removed SD channels from satellite completely in the name of "HD upgrades". I pay for satellite TV, not streaming...I don't see why they couldn't leave the SD version of the channels on Satellite then put the HD streaming version like they have for other channels.

Now that I'm retired, obviously I have different health care insurance. I take 2 prescriptions. With my old insurance I didn't have to pay for either of them, now I do. It's not a huge amount but it led me to dig a little into the cost of prescription medications. I have been using Walgreens for the longest time. But what I found was that Walgreens price is 4.8 times more for one of my prescriptions and the other is 2.3 percent more compared to the lowest price pharmacy. If you pay for prescription medications you might want to have a look at trumprx and see if you can get a lower price.

Walmart and Sam's pharmacies have "zero rated" prescriptions lists where generics are $4 (or less). If yours are on that list, then of course GoodRx isn't going to help. Also, GoodRx isn't always the cheapest discount program. For me, the cheapest is usually Mark Cuban's Cost Plus Drugs.
