This will work for the olympics for anyone, and also works for getting distant locals of your choice from other sat companies. I've done it for over 5 years and actually was told (or suggested) to do it by a CSR on phone from Dish
1) Pull up a zipcode map of your state
2) Find a zipcode that you think is a "white" or unserved area.
3) Check this zipcode via the voom availability site, or any of the other website local-checks on Dish or DirecTV.
4) Once you find one that works and is eligible for distant feeds, write the zip code down and apply an old street address you lived at for years as a kid and will always remember.
5) Write all this down on a sticky and keep it on your fridge for safekeeping.
6) Call your provider and tell them you bought another place and moved your stuff since a dish was already there, but still have your old address and want to keep that address as your MAILING address for getting your bills.
7) They will update your PHYSICAL address on account, and you will be eligible to get anything you want (distant East/West feeds), and still get your bills at your real residence.
**If you have Dish** this makes football season SWEET, since you get so many football games on 2 different time zones and not have to pay the Sunday ticket price with Direct, lol. Too bad Voom doesn't have the East/West feeds.

Or we could vote for someone who will change the ridiculous regulations the FCC (or whoever) sets for these types of things. We, the people, are suffering a severe reduction in quality of service so that Joe Businessman at the local station can make a few more bucks. Why not pass legislation that confines us to filling up only at the closest gas station?

But.....if you like Tulsa King....looks like you would probably like this as well. I don't mind spin-offs as long as they don't involve a sassy niece who moves from the big cityAnother Tulsa King spin off.
I thought I would come here and find lots of complaints about the update to the dish anywhere mobile app, but am not seeing any. It used to look just like the desktop webpage. Now you can no longer filter by sports channels or movie channels. Plus that they made it look like a big button telephone and you see fewer channels in the screen which requires more scrolling. Yes I realize you can look at sports then select which sport you want to look at, I just liked being able to see all sporting events in the guide with all other channels being filtered out. Am I alone in the wilderness on this?

Might be worth a watch when it comes out. Looks like typical big corp against the little guy movie BUT....there is a reason this plot type is so oft repeated, it draws audiences.

If you're going try to read / listen to the book (can't recommend the audio book enough) before this comes out, I'd avoid trailers.
Trailer below, spoiling it to make sure you read the above bold message first. The book / audio book are fantastic. Go into this blind if you can IMO!
