If you're going try to read / listen to the book (can't recommend the audio book enough) before this comes out, I'd avoid trailers.

Trailer below, spoiling it to make sure you read the above bold message first. The book / audio book are fantastic. Go into this blind if you can IMO!

Kind of disappointed at how much they show. A lot still to see, but man, some good reveals in the book that are just served up here.

Thought I'd spoiled the trailer, to make sure people see the bold before just clicking the thread and then clicking the trailer, heh.

I bet I've listened to the audio book 3 more times while doing other things since making this thread 🤣

Book was good, similar style to The Martian. I look forward to seeing how it is portrayed in movie form.

It looks like a more detailed trailer has been released. It's rather spoilery…

The cat (rock) is out of the bag, that was the biggest issue I had with the last trailer.

This one gives me a lot of things to look forward to that I wasn't sure they'd include. With the big reveal spoiled, this trailer doesn't seem as bad.

I've seen it twice. Can't recommend the audio book enough, Ray Porter's performance is amazing and there's so much more in the book than the movie.

Entertaining interview with Andy Weir on StarTalk. If you haven't read the book or seen the movie (what are you reading this for?) there are plenty of spoilers, so you've been warned!

This seems to have legs at the cineplex; I've noticed it's still hanging around. I dismissed it as probably modern CGI space invaders pap. Worth a ticket?

I bought the book but haven't gone to the theater to see it. If you saw "The Martian" and were entertained, I would think you'd find this worthy.

I snoozed too long as they had a special setup at our one Cinema with a 270˚ Experience screen. I guess it would wrap around to the sides of your vision. I'm not sure what that might introduce to the enjoyment of the movie, and having read the book, I can imagine some scenes where such immersion may not be advised.

Yeah, this was my first ScreenX experience, it was great. Saw it twice opening week.
