AP story.

"... Young didn't go to the team's offices Monday and postponed his MRI exam until Tuesday. He met with a psychologist at his home Monday along with Fisher and another team official.

Four hours of uncertainty followed Monday night when Young left his home without his phone, prompting someone at his home to call Fisher. He called police to help find the quarterback and had a meeting late Monday night with Young and police crisis negotiators at the team's headquarters. ..."

Poor little baby...the defense is out to get me, the fans hate me, it's so hard to be a NFL quarterback, oh woe is me! If only I could make 1/10th the money Mr. Young is getting to play football and secure my family's financial future in the process. Professional athletes need to learn the concepts of humility and gratitude.

Last weekend I spent $399 of my own money and 6-hours of my own time taking a stupid certification test, so I can keep my stupid job, while making pennies on Vince Young's dollars, while sh*t-for-brains throws around a football...and gets a good workout in the process.

And people ask me why I drink!:rolleyes:

Usually, the 1st thing EVERYONE mentions is "but the money that guy makes....blah, blah, blah...." You cannot do normal every day things you and I do....eat in peace, shop in peace, taking a walk with your significant other in peace....go on vacation with your loved ones in peace, without SOMEONE asking for SOMETHING. You have ALL KINDS of people ASKING you for money....ESPECIALLY FAMILY. GOD FORBID you make a mistake like accidently push somebody...or get into a little Bullsh!t fender bender....things that EVERYONE of us has done in some point of our lives. Because HALF of that town WILL BE SUING you. And on top of that, you HAVE TO...I REPEAT YOU HAVE TO, be a roll model. You better not have an attitude and do EVERYTHING....I REPEAT, everything, with a smile.

...in others words, you are NOT ALLOWED to be human and EVERYTHING that you do MUST BE PERFECT....if not, it WILL be a headline the next day.

You and I have our familes to take care....usually your wife and children, maybe your parents as well. Some of these players take care of their wives/girlfriends families, cousins, aunts and uncles. IF something happens to you or I, it will not be NOWHERE near as financially devastating as something happening to some of these guys.

Maybe you do not feel sorry for these guys, but until you have seen FIRST HAND what they have to go through DAY-TO-DAY.....you really need to respect the fact that most have TONS more responsibility than you and I will ever have.

Amazing how 2 different points of view can both be correct. The bottom line may be that Young doesn't have to be an NFL QB. He did receive a free education (I hope he was smart enough to finish his degree, and no, that shouldn't be misinterpretated). I guess I just feel more sympathy for those of us that weren't blessed with superior athletic skills.

I agree 1000%!!! Now just imagine.....everything you do, read, eat, drive, wear and talk about is examined with a fine toothed comb.....TWICE. As many people as YOU THINK want you to succeed.....twice as many will want you to fail....and being a QB, will want you to get hurt WHILE you fail.....


NOBODY in here could take that pressure......:rolleyes:

Ummmm...that is very true....but UNLESS you HAVE BEEN or currently are filthy rich AND extremely well known or famous.....I doubt YOU, ME or ANYONE ELSE in here knows what THAT kinda of pressue is like......I am sure that ALL of his peers know EXACTLY what he is going through....but you won't hear THEM telling him to man up...

Actually, if you said this you would mean that you doubted that no one could take the pressure, meaning you thought some people actually could. You should say "I doubt that anybody can take that kind of pressure," meaning you don't think that just anyone could take it. :D

Oh yea he finished and got his degree. Matter of fact he invested all of his signing bonus! He bought his mom a house but other then that just money to live and help out family! Heck him and Lendale were room mate so they could save money! :D

The future of Stargate is in question today, as SCI FI Channel has cancelled the long-running Stargate SG-1, Multichannel News reported today and a GateWorld source has confirmed. The news regrettably follows the airing of the show's milestone two-hundredth episode on Friday.

Stargate Atlantis, meanwhile, has been renewed for a fourth season, with the network hoping to see that the spin-off series can stand alone, according to a source.

Well, there are a couple involving the Antarctic. "Solitudes", S1 E17 (one of my favorites), Then, "Lost City', S7 E21 and E22. Then, in the SGA pilot, "Rising", S1 E1 and E2, it starts out in the Antarctic for about the first 20 minutes or so.

If I understand your question, O'Neill had the Ancient's knowledge in the "Lost City" two-part episode. That was when Anubis attacked Earth and there was a big battle over Antarctica.

Has anyone noticed an FF stutter with 713? I used to be able to hit FF a few times and skip smoothly. After 713 (maybe 712), when I skip forward, there is a definite stutter for as many times as I have pressed FF.

Can anyone check on this and report back? Recorded programs and then press skip forward a few times to see if it's smooth? Normally, it just jumps to the right place after the skips.

I'm getting fabulous picture on Ch. 148 4k, but zero audio with H713. This is with a recorded show (Notre Dame game). Anyone else have this? Audio is fine on every other channel.

My wife mentioned that her remote is acting strange this morning. She hit FF and it went to 15x FF.

Had a customer call recently saying their remote was really acting up, some buttons no longer functioned. Told them to reboot the Hopper....problem fixed.
Wife bought me a t-shirt that has "have you tried turning it off and on again?"

It's a known issue.
For a temporary fix, go into the menu, Audio, and turn Dolby Audio "OFF". You will have PCM stereo audio.

I was able to give the tech ops team some data logs so they could diagnose the problem, and they rolled me back to H708 temporarily. It fixed that issue.

They let me know that they understand what caused the issue, and it will be fixed within a few weeks in a new update.

I guess they will be busy when lots of people start asking for rollbacks to H708 now that you mention that downgrades of software does exist because it will likely fix the OTA Single Tuner and the IR Remote problems in H710-H713.
