well as you can see, no one will knock anyone down trying to offer you any useful info. make sure to take the steps to confirm you have the right lnb frquency, your mount is plumb, azimuth, skew... there a whole list of basics I'm sure you know. There are lots of internet resouces for tips on aiming you dish, locating satelite, setting up your receiver.
There are good tips here, I've found icebergs check lists and posts to be very helpfiul. But I am basically in the same boat. I think I got the basics covered. You will get a good strength reading just by plugging in the lnb. I am getting decent reading on my sat finder meter but not much luck on the quality. I will research it more tonight and let you know what I find. Perhaps I better invest in a better meter. I'm sure I figure it out soon.

Phottoman: Either that or We just lower the Volume of our PC/Monitor Speakers, lol .... and I am still laughing. To be fair I have no speakers so it does not bother me at all, lol.

Now seriuosly as Iceberg said, MCPAR3 post more info related to your equipment so we can help you or at least the ones that do not have speakers like me, lol.

On a side note and off topic (as usual with cubans we always drift off topic (and also north away from the coast on rafts, lol...) on conversations).

Funny how Human perspective is so diverse eh? For some , Typed Caps looks like someone is yelling at them for others like me it acctually helps read the text better as the letters are larger, lol. Oh well , is called freedom , you either like the pigeons flying all over the city or you dislike them , at least you have the right to dissent. Enjoy it

Just as the guys explained above, you need to provide more info about your equipment (i.e. LNBF type, and dish size) to help you better.

Here are my suggestions assuming you are aiming your "stationary" dish at Galaxy 19 (97W) and you are using a STANDARD type LNBF:

In the antenna setup menu:

Satellite: Galaxy 19 (97W) (select proper satellite name here from your list of satellites)
LNBF LO Freq: 10750 (this of course depends on your LNBF type)
22KH: OFF
TP Frequency: 12122 (use a LIVE transponder for the satellite you pick)

Go here and check your dish's aiming angles:
Satellite Look Angles Satellite Heading Calculator Azimuth Elevation Skew Tilt LNBF Latitude and Longitude values

Slowly move your dish to the Azimuth/Elevation angles specified. Also adjust LNBF skew angle accordingly.

Just name a song title and the band who performed it. The next person does the same thing, but needs to list a song title or band name which includes a word from the previous entry. Pick songs from any genre.

Example:

Long Live Rock and Roll -- Rainbow

Another example:

Ride the Lightning -- Metallica

Lightning Strikes -- Ozzy Osbourne


Get it?


An additional note: we all know that song titles, sometimes, use profane words. Because this is a family friendly website it is advised that you clean up that title up a bit. This is accomplished by using something like sh!t instead of the real word. Thanks....

I'm getting fabulous picture on Ch. 148 4k, but zero audio with H713. This is with a recorded show (Notre Dame game). Anyone else have this? Audio is fine on every other channel.

It's a known issue.
For a temporary fix, go into the menu, Audio, and turn Dolby Audio "OFF". You will have PCM stereo audio.

I was able to give the tech ops team some data logs so they could diagnose the problem, and they rolled me back to H708 temporarily. It fixed that issue.

They let me know that they understand what caused the issue, and it will be fixed within a few weeks in a new update.

I guess they will be busy when lots of people start asking for rollbacks to H708 now that you mention that downgrades of software does exist because it will likely fix the OTA Single Tuner and the IR Remote problems in H710-H713.

The future of Stargate is in question today, as SCI FI Channel has cancelled the long-running Stargate SG-1, Multichannel News reported today and a GateWorld source has confirmed. The news regrettably follows the airing of the show's milestone two-hundredth episode on Friday.

Stargate Atlantis, meanwhile, has been renewed for a fourth season, with the network hoping to see that the spin-off series can stand alone, according to a source.

Well, there are a couple involving the Antarctic. "Solitudes", S1 E17 (one of my favorites), Then, "Lost City', S7 E21 and E22. Then, in the SGA pilot, "Rising", S1 E1 and E2, it starts out in the Antarctic for about the first 20 minutes or so.

If I understand your question, O'Neill had the Ancient's knowledge in the "Lost City" two-part episode. That was when Anubis attacked Earth and there was a big battle over Antarctica.
