Has anyone had any luck getting RTN channels from Telstar 11? I have been agonizing on whether to get a bigger dish (1m or 1.2m) and I want to find out if it is worth the extra expense of getting the bigger dish, not to mention the extra weight and strain on my HH motor.

Well, I guess those frequencies are useless at this side of the pond, aren't they?
The skew/polarization angles don't apply either if polar positioner is used. It helps to know that H polarization should be selected though.
My question was if that's possible to tell if you are "hitting the bird" just by looking at the receiver. I assume this should be easy with spectrum analyzer but few mortals can actually afford one. Signal level meter may help, but I don't have one either...
Also, this discussion is irrelevant for truly geostationary sats, which in theory should be reasonably accessible if your positioner is well tuned. However, for a non-zero inclination, which oscillates above and below the clark belt plane there is no such certainty.

I've not been optimistic about this show based on what I've read so far. Seems to be aimed at a younger audience. Interesting though that Tatiana Maslany will have some sort of role.

I don't know, but I still don't like her walking through the station or the academy with out her shoes. It looks unprofessional and very "hippy like" for someone of her status and I personally don't get off to feet, so there is that.

For some reason, the satelliteguys.us site is loading a lot slower than usual on both Chrome on my Asus laptop and Safari on my iPhone.
I'm also seeing longer appearances of the blue bar at the top and the "3 blue bars" loading symbol.
