I will be adding an additional 722 to my account. This will be the third unit. I already spoke with two supervisors and 3 reps. They all told me that I cannot do a self installation of an additional unit. Self installations can only be done when replacing a unit verses adding a new unit. They want to charge me $95 or $15 if I do the protection plan. It is amazing that it requires a rocket scientist to come to my house to plug in an HDMI cable, a coax and a power cable. I have been with DISH for 12 years and pay $237/per month and I guess they do not trust me to do an install with their equipment. Some how the masters degree that I completed last year in computer science does not grant me the necessary technical skills to plug in 3 cables and verify that the unit works. This is going in a room that already had a receiver a couple of years ago. I have already plugged in one of the spare 722's to verify that the RG6 cable works. Is this just DISH policy or do I need to try to get my PHD since apparently the DISH technicians have a speshul degree in plugging in cables.

I appealed to Executive Resolutions (the ceo email address) to lease two 612's and install them myself. $25/ea for shipping and I had them installed in no time.

But.....if you like Tulsa King....looks like you would probably like this as well. I don't mind spin-offs as long as they don't involve a sassy niece who moves from the big cityAnother Tulsa King spin off.
I thought I would come here and find lots of complaints about the update to the dish anywhere mobile app, but am not seeing any. It used to look just like the desktop webpage. Now you can no longer filter by sports channels or movie channels. Plus that they made it look like a big button telephone and you see fewer channels in the screen which requires more scrolling. Yes I realize you can look at sports then select which sport you want to look at, I just liked being able to see all sporting events in the guide with all other channels being filtered out. Am I alone in the wilderness on this?

Might be worth a watch when it comes out. Looks like typical big corp against the little guy movie BUT....there is a reason this plot type is so oft repeated, it draws audiences.

I had quit watching this show years ago because I ended up more annoyed than entertained. Well......I'm STILL more annoyed than entertained. I DO find it interesting to see how things work behind the scenes at many businesses. What annoys me is how utterly out of touch CEOs are with the companies they run. At the end of almost every episode the head of the company is amazed at how hard the employees have to work and many times have to work around impossible guidelines set forth from headquarters.
I found this one interesting because the new CEO had big plans for this company, Muscle Maker Grill, and it looked like the stores were all pretty busy. Recent history hasn't been good to this company however. I bet the covid lockdowns were the real killer.
